Gannon - Bring Your Fishing Rod!

Wake to the sun rising over the ocean, with sweeping 180° views along the Great Ocean Road stretching toward Apollo Bay and Aireys Inlet. From the deck you can watch ships pass slowly along the coastline while the sound of the surf rolls in the background. The view is always changing — from dramatic winter swells to calm blue horizons and clear, star-filled nights.

On clear evenings, the Milky Way is easily visible from the deck, and when the full moon rises over the water its silver light stretches across the sea in a beautiful display. With uninterrupted ocean views and the gentle rhythm of the surf, it’s the perfect place to slow down and enjoy the natural pace of the coast.

Set between ocean and bush along the Great Ocean Road, the home enjoys a wonderfully natural setting. It sits just across the road from Shelley Beach and is only a relaxed 15-minute stroll into Lorne township — close enough for cafĂ©s, restaurants and shops while still offering a peaceful coastal escape.

This is a comfortable, well-loved family holiday home. Guests who appreciate relaxed coastal living, spectacular views and the character of classic Great Ocean Road beach houses tend to enjoy staying here the most.

Upstairs features a spacious, air-conditioned living area that opens onto a large ocean-view deck complete with outdoor dining and a gas BBQ — ideal for long, relaxed meals overlooking the water. The well-equipped kitchen includes a large dining table, dishwasher, full-size fridge/freezer and everything needed for easy family meals.

The upper level also includes three bedrooms, a bathroom with spa bath, a separate toilet and laundry. A built-in child-safe gate on the stairs provides extra peace of mind for families with young children.

Downstairs offers a large bedroom with a queen bed, built-in robes and its own lounge area with fantastic ocean views — making it an ideal private retreat for parents. A second bathroom is also located on this level.

We hope guests feel equally relaxed and invigorated by the sights and sounds of surf and nature during their stay.

It is important to understand this property is a holiday rental, not a shared space or principle place of residence, which ensures you privacy and quiet enjoyment. It is also professionally managed, giving you peace of mind of 24/7 support by a local, just around the corner.

Pricing is based around seasons, length of stay and number of guests. It is important all bookings reflect the exact number of guests. If this changes, you must contact us. Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the published rates across all booking platforms, however Great Ocean Road Real Estate Holidays reserves the right to correct pricing errors.

Unless otherwise previously agreed, all stays must only be used for private residential usage and to accommodate the number of guests stated on your booking. Unless ‘Pets Welcome’ is advertised, the property is strictly no pets.

All holiday accommodation bookings are accepted on the basis that all occupants will treat the property with the same respect as their own home in accordance with the “House Rules”. Noise audible outside the property is prohibited between 10pm and 8am.

Our stay at this holiday rental was extremely disappointing and far below an acceptable standard. The property was in terrible condition when we arrived. The bed sheets were ripped and we discovered what appeared to be bed bugs in certain areas of the bedding. There were spiders everywhere throughout the house, and the windows looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in months, if not years.The couches were stained, the floors were dirty, and the overall smell of the house was dreadful. It felt unhygienic and completely unprepared for guests. We initially tried to clean parts of the house ourselves just so we could stay, but it quickly became obvious that it would take multiple weekends of deep cleaning just to bring the property up to a basic living standard.This completely ruined our family weekend. We were travelling with elderly family members and ended up spending most of our day trying to find alternative accommodation and relocating everyone. Instead of enjoying our holiday, we spent hours dealing with a stressful situation that should never have happened.Overall, the condition of this property was unacceptable and extremely misleading compared to what you would expect from a holiday rental. I would not recommend staying here unless the property is properly cleaned, maintained, and brought up to a reasonable standard.

Lower shower needs a door. Vacuum behind and under beds before arrivals. Fly screens off the frames (All been fixed by myself). Add to your add and state clear that lining is not supplied.Other than that house is in a prime location.

The house has very nice location and very nice belcony with the best view .The communication and responding to problems with the house real state was amazing they responded by two hours to my issues during my visit The negative things about the house :Cleaning I got the house dirty and with lots of spiders I had to clean around two hours to stay at the houseVery old No WIFI and no good smart TV also not good connection at that area The kitchen applicants are very old and dirty they are not cooking suitable, better bring cookware with you.The bed had very dirty blankets you have to add blankets to your journey There were lots of spiders behind the beds and around the house try to leave time for cleaning before settling I give good stars for the house just for the location and the viewThanks

House was challenging to find: house number was faded- impossible to read if not aware where to look and house is painted grey on outside, was not communicated about this. We felt like we paid for the views only. The house itself needs a doover inside with moder kitcuen bathrooms etc. Communication was okaish with hit and miss.

The house has great access to the beach and town. The house is neat and tidy. Some of the furnishings have been there for a while, but everything was fine for a holiday house. The house is great for two families. I would definitely choose to stay again.

The house location is perfect great sea view, walking tracks to city centre, facilities good except missing a dryer, shower over spa bath not really suitable for adults over 60years require handrail, shower screen to prevent water going on floor. Bit disappointed after paying high price for a week linen was not included.Also the couches are not suitable for adults over 60 years to low. But we had a lovely week house overall pretty good. I would like to say the the staff at Great Ocean Road Holidays were great, after reading a review the Mimosa K it thru us into a panic as we had children & was concerned about the mould etc the cleaning products including the sponge were new, the bbq was clean & there was no smells. So I don't know if it's because we spoke to Matt and he insure all was good. Big thank you to all at Great Ocean Road Holidays for making our holiday a enjoyable one in a clean smell free home. The location was beautiful but the house inside was terrible it had a mould smell all over the house and the power went out the first night we were there so for 2 hours we were on the phone with the maintenance guys that was at 11 pm until 1 am there was no cleaning products the dish spung was old really old! The bbq was dirty so most of our 2 day stay we stayed outside on the balcony the we all slept in the living room because the rooms smelled bad and under a mattress there were dirty underwear it was an horrible experience:(
