Un trÚs bon séjour en pleine nature

Le lieu est fidĂšle aux photos avec en plus un accueil aux petits oignons de la part de Gillian. Les chambres sont dans un style japonais et la dĂ©coration est minimaliste mais trĂšs soignĂ©e. Le petit dĂ©jeuner Ă©tait trĂšs bon et copieux. Un vrai havre de paix en lisiĂšre de la forĂȘt et Ă  seulement quelques minutes du centre de Lorne. Nous n'hĂ©siterons pas Ă  revenir sĂ©journer ici.

The whole place was wonderful and unique in every way! We thoroughly enjoyed everything about this place!! What a great experience! The owners were the kindest people that made the experience even better! They made us farm fresh eggs for breakfast! Our room was beautifully decorated and comfortable! We were surrounded by the beauty of nature and beautiful art! This is my favorite place I stayed in our two weeks of Australia! Everything was amazing!

Very welcoming service and a comfortable little cabin that's nicely appointed in a slightly minimalist Japanese style. Yummy breakfast in the quiet of the lush bush made it a very peaceful and indulgent stay.

Heaven in the Bush

Qdos is amazing. Gill was such a great host. The tree house is perfect nestled up with the trees. Had such a good time walking the grounds and looking at the artwork and plants. The coffee and food at the cafe was delicious. Will definitely be back .

A Gem on the GOR!

I had a wonderful time at Qdos Arts! A unique accommodation in the bush that feels like the perfect artist retreat. Still close to the center of Lorne and all the surrounding hikes/beaches. Gill was a terrific host. A highlight of my trip on the Great Ocean Road!

Beautifully calming

My wife and I had a stay here and thoroughly enjoyed it. The customer service provided by Gill and the team was outstanding. The Japanese inspired cabin was beautiful. Sitting out on the balcony listening to the birds 'having a party' was such fun. A family of kangaroos on the front lawn early one morning was also a highlight, There is a wifi connection which means you can stay connected if you need to or want to. Personally, I felt that it was great to spend a few days without TV and only connecting to post some beautiful photos! Great location (behind Lorne) and a good base for exploring some of the stunning walks and waterfalls. We would highly recommend it.

Touch of Japanese in Lorne

Thanks to ur wonderful host Gillian, she made our long weekend an truly pleasant and memorable one. She was helpful, charming, accommodating, friendly and gracious. Our Japanese inspired cottage was neatly presented and a pleasure to stay in. I would although say it may have been a problem if the weather was warmer as there was no aircon. Despite this, the complimentary breakfast was lovely and the general surrounds were peaceful and relaxing. Highly recommended.

Beauty, Tranquillity and Hospitality

The beauty of the Qdos sculpture garden, set in a tranquil forest combines perfectly with the Japanese tree houses to provide a perfect weekend retreat. Gill's service is friendlĂœ and attentive, breakfast was generous and delicious and the beauty of Lorne and its environs make Qdos a destination we hope to return to regularly.

Beautiful Space & Stay

My partner and I had the most magnificent stay. Secluded, private and immersed in natural surrounds. The Japanese interiors were authentic and extremely comfortable! The weather was cold but our room was warm and made us not want to leave. Gracious hosts and staff. Quality art in the gallery. We look forward to staying again! Really exceeded all expectations

Gorgeous tree house nestled into the bush

We had a wonderful stay at Qdos. Our room was nestled amongst the trees and impeccably clean and tastefully appointed. Our room was small, however this was not a concern due to the abundance of glass and views to nature. We were far enough from the hustle and bustle of Lorne to make it a relaxing getaway, but close enough for a morning walk to the beach (approx 20 minutes). Gillian, our host, was incredibly attentive - offering a glass of red and nibbles as we relaxed in front of the fire in the gallery. Breakfast was also included, as was coffee - and both of a quality that you would find in many great inner Melbourne cafes. All in all, a relaxing getaway for my husband and I and we will certainly visit again.

Great romantic and restful getaway for two.

Located in a bush setting yet only a short drive to the main town and beach. Very friendly staff, cafe and gallery on site. Rooms have a intimate restful ambience, are well maintained and very clean. Well recommended.

Fantastic couple hideaway

Beautiful location with fantastic accomidation. Qdos is a fantastic place to stay for couples looking for a romantic getaway. The host are lovely, welcoming and there to offer advice and help were needed.

Lovely ryokan style inn in the woods

We just loved this inn. It's off the main road, up in the hills, surrounded by woodlands. It's an active arts center, with a huge wood fired ceramics kiln and studio, and art on display inside and out. The accommodations are Japanese ryokan rooms, beautifully constructed, up on a hillside looking out into the trees. Frequent wildlife - kangaroos and koalas, and birds flying past at deck height. Your hosts (Gillian and Grame) are warm, welcoming and attentive. It's a very calm and restful place to be. One thing to be aware of - like all ryokan style rooms, these are very compact. There's nowhere to store large luggage without crowding the room and making it very awkward. We had big bags for a long trip - we just left them in our car and took an overnight bag up to the room. That worked fine. This is not a place to use like a motel, just as a base for trips elsewhere. It's a place to stay at, enjoy and let it calm you. If you do that, you'll enjoy it immensely.

Loved our stay and now feel super relaxed!

Highly recommend Qdos. The staff are all super friendly and accommodating to all guests. Gill is an amazing host and the team provide a very welcoming and relaxed atmophere to make all guests feel at home. We'll definitely be back again.

Amazing host, incredible location, sensory overloa

To be met by Gillian with such warmth and invitation was a delightful start to our night at Qdos. The treehouse was very authentically japanese, the sounds were overwhelmingly Australian. Visually Qdos inspires you to search and look further into what's around you, it implores you to resign yourself to the beauty offered. Breakfast was a lovely bonus, with a carefully crafted menu and delicious offerings. We are definitely heading back!

The Qdos Experience

Exceeded our expectations in many ways. The tree house was wonderful; our host, Jill, could not have been more helpful and friendlier. We were given a welcoming glass of wine on arrival, and the complimentary breakfast the following morning was excellent. At Qdos itself, we were lucky enough to spot a Koala; we had a visit to our verandah from a Kookaburra, and we had a fleeting sight of some Kangaroos at dusk. There were many pieces of art on display to enjoy, and Lorne itself was only a couple of minutes away by car.Our stay was just too short.

quiet bush setting walk to beach and town

what a great time we had very relaxing.we enjoyed the quiet bush setting and the bush walks right out side our door,then back to the cafe for a glass of wine and woodfire pizza. our tree house was very cuffy and quite with the bush around us and koala in the tree

Amazing!

Everything about our stay was wonderful. We have traveled throughout the world and this is one of the best places we have stayed. Gill is a great host. The treehouses are clean and relaxing. Could not of asked for anything more.
