Fantastic Private 3 bed town house on Puerto Marina complex, Los Alcazares.

Our lovely 3 bedroom villa on Puerto/Euromarina complex in Los Alcazares. Located just a stone's throw from the main plaza with a host of bars, restaurants & shops and just a short walk to the amazing beaches of the Mar Menor.

The property has the combined benefits of a private front entrance with spacious terrace. Coming into the lounge, there is a TV equipped with Spanish and British channels, wifi and a large l-shaped sofa, a well equipped kitchen, downstairs shower room & dining room with bed settee with rear access to the 3 communal pools & sunbathing areas.

Upstairs are 2 double bedrooms and the family bathroom. The front bedroom has French windows out onto yet another terrace, with views inland, over rural countryside and stairs up to a large roof terrace ideal for private sunbathing and relaxing.

The town of Los Alcazares is completely unspoiled and ideal for a good family holiday. Bars, restaurants, banks, and supermarkets/shops are all close by so there is no need to hire a car. The Mar Menor is famous for its golden beaches and beautiful clear water and is only a short walk away. Its also a golfers' paradise with many top quality courses nearby.

It is 5 to10 mins walk to superb beaches where you can enjoy a bathe in clean, warm shallow saltwater. Very safe for children. Alternatively you may have a walk along the promenade or sit at a beach bar and enjoy a drink/meal/tapas.

Boat trips are available most days and jet-skis / pedaloes may be hired. Car hire is readily available but not essential as all necessary amenities are close to hand.

The area is very flat and a mecca for cyclists. Cartagena, is 20 mins. by car. The city of Murcia is one hour by car. La Manga is 25 mins. by car.

Nice house in great location.

We were a family of 5, grandparents, Mum and 2 kids (11 and 16). The house is located on a lovely clean complex about a 10 minute or less walk from the strip of restaurants and about 15/20 minute walk to the beach (we walked slowly). There are 3 lovely pools in the complex, the first one is literally 10 seconds away, we even went for evening dips, the kids loved it and even made some friends. The supermarkets are very close (2 minute walk) which was really convenient. Opposite is a small funfair that opens in the evenings, the kids enjoyed having a wander round and going on the rides. There is also an evening market next to the funfair. It really is in a great location. Sitting outside on the terrace in the mornings eating breakfast was so relaxing and peaceful. The house is so well equipped, they even left beach towels to use by the pool. Communication with the owner and property manager was very very good, any questions were answered almost immediately. Transfers were also arranged which was very helpful. I would recommend this property for all ages, we really did have a lovely holiday.

The property is large and well placed for restaurants and not too far from the beach. Property description and pictures are a little misleading as there are no views of the pool and the front of the property overlooks wasteland. The property is a bit tired and was not very clean. The floors and outside areas particularly. The towels and bedlinen seemed a bit old. Generally it felt as though the house wasn't used a great deal. That said it had everything we needed and owners were quick to respond to our concerns

Great spot for all amenities

The house was perfectly located 15 min stroll to beach 2 mins to large supermarket and 5-10 mins to a variety of bars and restaurants. We usually hire a car but no need on this occasion. Debra and her husband were really helpful and available for any queries. The house has MORE equipment than listed so worth checking ie hairdryer beach towel etc. lots of outdoor space to eat and excellent pools in there complex.

Great place

Rental manager Deborah was brillient and very nice. Allowed us to stay over the check out time while we waited for our night time flight.. very accommodating in other ways too. Our only misgivings was not about the accommodation but more so the area.. while we had everything close by the beach was a bit away. 25 min walk.. not easy when your carrying beach gear... we shouldv'e hired a car to get to other places such as the water park. We had a lovely time. 2 adults and 4 kids from ages 7 to 13.

Great place to stay

Unfortunate circumstances for the owner meant that we had to use alternative accommodation due to water ingres which was out of their control. Excellent service by keyholder who arranged alternative accommodation in nearby complex at very short notice. Communication from owners could have been better in lead up to holiday. Over very good and I would recommend los Alcazares as a base for a holiday or a golf trip Stuart

Basic inside, but a good size, great location and on a "interesting" complex.

The 1st issue I must raise is the "hidden" costs when booking. Please make sure you are aware before booking that the fee agreed with the owner is not the total fee! There is an Owner direct service charge (around ÂŁ38) and a cost for cleaning and linen. (around 75 Euros, which I missed) This came as a shock as all other properties I've rented before (6)present you with an "all in" price. The agents are v good. for 30 euros return the agents pick up from the airport and nothing was too much trouble, such as cot, high chair and stair gates. The reason I said "interesting" complex is that it does look good from a distance, the pools are great, this apartment's location is good, but I wouldn't like to be "stuck" in one in the middle!! (very built up!) The layout of the apt isn't ideal but ok. Kitchen not big and even though it has 3 terraces, 2 of them are off of the main bedroom! Good to have a 2nd bathroom downstairs, but the shower is v v small! The furniture is very basic, but what you would expect from a holiday let. (but the beds are very hard!!) There is also basic outdoor furniture (nothing on the roof terrace) but 2 chairs that can be taken to the pool. Great for us (as we had an 18 month old) was all the toys and stuff for beach, although starting to get a bit old now. All in all, we had a great week in this apartment; even though there are better, we would return based on cost at the time.

A lovely home with access to three pools and just a walk to the beach.

This is a very nice place to stay for a break in the sun. A very short distance from Murcia airport, the complex has three pools to choose from and is about a 10 minute walk from the town centre, and another 5 to the beach. The land is very flat so even our 5-yr olds didn't have a problem walking it. The house is nicely presented and has everything necessary for your stay such as towels, bedding, and even a few pool or beach toys. The internet worked fine, and it has air-conditioning, although we didn't use it. The TV had British channels, which is handy to for the kids to chill out with occasionally. One thing which would have been nice would be a welcome pack of information - a map of the town and some leaflets of what is available where. Maybe some instructions on how to use the combination microwave/oven etc. However, it doesn't take long to explore the town and find your bearings. All in all, I would definitely recommend this place for families.
