The staff was very helpful and the hotel was nice in a pinch. I wouldnt want to stay for longer than a night, but it was affordable. Lots of places to get food within walking distance. You could tell that they are slowly remodeling the rooms. Our bathroom was fairly new looking but the room could use an upgrade. Id definitely stay again if I needed something quick and cheap.

Wish I could rate higher.

I really wanted to give a higher rating. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was so convenient to get to Universal Studios, literally down the street. The room was clean, air conditioner worked great and plenty of parking. My complaint is the beds, they were so hard. The king bed didn't even bend when you sat on it. It was difficult to sleep.

Overall it was okay, nothing to write home about. AC tends to make the bed closer to and the carpet wet and cold. Beds weren’t great, they concave on you but for price it’s decent. Definitely a pay what you get for hotel but it was close to Universal driving.

People smoking in rooms near making ours smell disgusting. Absolutely disgusting sheets with weird stains and felt itchy when waking up. Last night had people above us stomping, moving furniture, and being so loud I got less than 2 hours of sleep.

Clean enough just to sleep very close to universal studios. The AC had a very weird smell coming from it and the staff did not pick up the phone or very rarely did after calling multiple times through the day but did answer texts. If you're just sleeping here its perfect, not fancy but just alright. Quite a few guests were being a bit loud/inconsiderate late into the night.

We were very impressed with the service at this hotel. They let us check in early without extra fees and even sent us messages if we needed anything before and during check in. They provided prompt responses by text and excellent information. If you are planning to visit Universal studios Hollywood and need a place to stay, Colony Inn should be your first choice. The hotel allows you to park at their property without any extra charges and the theme park is very close by. There are many eateries, shopping areas, and other amenities nearby.

Great family stay and close to theme park

We went to universal studios as a family trip for my daughter’s 20th birthday! And we all loved our rooms and those bed are super comfortable!! Staff was friendly! We got there before check in and we were able to semi check in so when we got back we just had to grab our rooms keys! Will diffiently be back for our next trip

Room smelled like pee. Late the 1st night i went to the office and asked for a blanket for both beds, was told he only had 1. The rest where locked in the maids closet. The rest of the trip we only went back to the room to sleep and spent the rest of our time with faamily.

Sleeping clerks and thieves.

We arrived in the night at the hotel and had to wait outside of the office window for at least 30 minutes, calling and knocking before we woke up the clerk from the back. We had to knock on their employee only room which is probably where he slept. He wanted to hold my ID because there system was down, not our problem and sketchy to ask. The hotel room was extremely over priced for what it was, not updated in the least bit and not comfortable. The beds only had a sheet to sleep with and there was dust and dirt in one of them but we were so tired and over it. To add to all of this, when the cleaners came through the room they stole our phone charger boxes. This was not a pleasant experience and I would like a refund.

Great Location.

The Hotel was very accommodating and decently priced compared to many other hotels in the area. Our room was clean and comfortable. It is very close to all the activities we did in the area including Universal, Walk of Fame, and the Hollywood sign. We would definitely stay here agian.
