Fun Getaway!!

We stayed two nights and really enjoyed the unique property. It reminded of us of our stay in Ireland in a castle, but on a smaller scale. Parking was easy. Grounds were beautiful. I recommend if you are up for an adventurous place to stay. We will definitely go back!!

Stay at mini castle

This was a wonderful experience staying at the mini castle. Very unique accommodation. Was great for just the two of us. Any more than that I think it would be a bit cramped. But perfect for solo trip or a couple. The location was amazing. Loved the short walk up the hill to the view of the ocean. Would definitely love to stay here again.

Incredible location and unique experience

Highly recommended for those looking for something different. The mini castle is so fun! And the property is amazing! I stayed here with my pup and he loved the private trail and spacious grounds to explore. The ocean view at the end of the trail is nothing short of breathtaking. It’s a must do if you stay here.

Spectacular honeymoon!!

We had the best time at you lovely castle!! The ocean view was insane once you made it up there! We did have a little friend mouse but it was harmless and pretty adorable lol! Thank you so so much for letting us spend our honeymoon at your mini castle!

Good things: great location, quiet, nice outdoor spaces, great hiking trailsBad things: safety issues with a hole in the ground taking you through a precarious staircase, leading to a sketch bedroom, and a very sub-par bathroom. For the price, this property left much to be desired.

Charming castle and helpful hosts

Super charming mini castle! Very responsible hosts! FYI you will need to do some ducking to use stairs descending into cozy bedroom+ bathroom atea. Over 6’2” might be a little cramped downstairs but upstairs is spacious and the castle has enough charm to make up for it. Highly recommend a sunset hike on the property trail, so perfect. A lovely couples getaway. Grill/hilltop area is perfect for stargazing too.

Unique Experience

The property was beautiful and quiet ! The only noise was the creek and the frogs at night. Very peaceful. The castle was unique, small and cozy. Very much an experience to have. The host greeted us on site when we arrived and let us know about the trail which is def a must if you stay the view is amazing ! I recommend this place.

Loved tiny castle!

My son and I had a short vacation in Malibu from the east coast and really enjoyed the castle and property! Close to beaches and hiking. The castle was clean and tidy and we loved the privacy of the property. While I knew the bedroom would be small, it was smaller than I thought, though the bed was comfortable. My son was able to comfortably sleep on the sofa. The walk to the top to look out over the Pacific was amazing and peaceful mornings drinking coffee in the patio area while watching the birds was wonderful. Eric was a fantastic host, very responsive and helpful with giving us ideas for places to see!

The castle is very rustic and comfortable. Location is easy to find and convenient for getting to various areas in Malibu. However, there is an issue with mice in the property. A few days before check in the property manager did send a message to me notifying me that I "may see a mouse like in a real castle." What I did not expect was that there would be mouse droppings near my things and on the kitchen's wooden block. There are rodent repellent bags under the kitchen storage however it is not working. So if you stay there, just make sure to keep everything in your luggage- especially your toiletries so you don't have to worry that mice have been exploring your items.

Upon our arrival all seemed good. But when we went to cook dinner on the electric grill there were ants everywhere. We tried to sit and chat on the front porch and were unable to do to ants. When i went into the kitchen to pull out cups and pans to prepare dinner there were mice droppings in the pans and cups. At that time i also noticed droppings on the counter. Thursday we went out for a day trip and upon our arrival back it was dark. We had to use our phones flash lights to walk up the washed out stairs. There is a section of the stairs that should have a rail for safty. I almost fell a few times. I called to make the manager aware of these issues and all he could say was it is a castle you will have rodents. When it came to the ants he stated you are in a canyon there will be critters. While my husband and i were preparing for a wedding Saturday afternoon the castle mouse joined me in the bathroom. The string lights on the patio were all broken. Candles and other debris were stuffed in a corner of the patio. Do to these multiple inconveniences i would like a refund.
