Nice time.

Rooms are small and there is some general maintenance that is lacking but the staff was great and the landscaping of the grounds were wonderful. Food variety wasn’t huge but everything thing tasted wonderful. Great location. Since this was a trip where costs needed to be lower than normal i’m Very happy with this resort.

Always I have to ask for towels. They “cleaned” the room but never change the towels.

Nice hotel the staff seemed confused they assigned us the wrong rooms and they lake communication skills the food is good but you need to reserve to the restaurant way in advance and they make you feel guilty!

I loved everything about this hotel, except the food. It was edible, but nothing delicious. Even the fancy restaurants that require reservations were less than tasty. In their defense, I've stayed at many all inclusive hotels and none have had great food. The staff was wonderful and really no other complaints. You will need to get up a little early to get a pool or beach chair. The rooms were clean and hotel is well maintained. I would definitely chose this hotel again.

nice place - but

Nice room, great staff. Buffet was very good with quite a variety. Can not comment on the restaurants as we could not get a reservation - booked for the weekend. pool clean but cool - too cool for my wife. Liked the evening shows. Wish they had guacamole with the chips at the snack bar. If you want shade by the pool get out early to get an umbrella.

Beautiful views, grounds and pools!

Right on the beautiful Cabo Azul in San Jose, this all inclusive tropically landscaped property provided me with everything I desired: a variety of food, stiff drinks, entertainment, gorgeous ocean view room, comfortable bed and sheets, with only two exceptions: you cannot swim or snorkel in San Jose del Cabo because of the strong undertow, and the entertainment and music end at 10pm (quite an early curfew). It is not a singles club; it's designed for families and couples. Beautiful greasy and salt water pools, and PLENTY of pool and beach lounge chairs. Before 10am the pools were empty if you want to swim laps or float in solitude. The days were in the 80's and evenings in the 70's with 0 % humidity! If you desire to snorkel or hit up some clubs, I recommend going into Cabo San Lucas,which is a $25-40 can ride one-way per person or you can do take the turístico del desierto bus line for $2. You have a short/safe walk to the bus stop. For $1 you can take the Urbana bus from Barcelo into San Jose where they have some nightlife, galleries, etc., but the return bus to the hotel stops running at 8:30, so you will have a 20-30 minute return walk. The wait staff and bartenders were very attentive and guest services was very helpful. Make specialty restaurant reservations early in your stay, as they do not have a very large staff and can only accommodate a limited number of diners each evening. It was a great value and I plan to return!
