This property was very run down in terms of condition, rooms were also not very clean and food and beverage service was very poor.

The property was very clean and beautiful. There was someone from the resort always cleaning and picking up around the place. They keep it looking beautiful.

Basic resort, nothing special or fancy. If you’re looking for a clean, somewhat updated, inexpensive place in San Jose I do recommend barcelo.

I loved the staff. Everyone was very polite and helpful. Our room was very clean and the food was ok. However, there was one thing I did not like; the smell. I don't know if it was the detergent they use for washing the sheets or the water but it had a particular smell that I did not like lol. It seemed to not bother my husband one bit so it could have just been me.
