The location is just outside the main strip, walkable distance to most things. The hotel itself has a nice lawn and a pretty setting. The front desk service is excellent. Everyone was very welcoming. The room was dated and a little bit on the dingy side. The white towels were more on the brown side and a little threadbare. The sink was slow to drain. The bed was comfortable and the room spacious. The hotel itself was pretty and well-decorated. Overall I would stay again.

I can recommend this hotel enough. I booked this hotel for my last 2 nights in Asia to unwind/decompress before heading back to the US. This is an excellent hotel dedicated to keeping Luang Prabang sustainable. The staff is friendly and very helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel as a wonderful place to stay and there’s a great pool !

We started our two week trip travelling through Lao, Cambodia, and Viet Nam at Angsana Maison Souvannaphoum and this is the hotel that gave us the most special memories. It was a little oasis at the end of a main street in Luang Prabang -- easy walking distance to temples, restaurants, markets, and the river, but was peaceful and beautiful. As far as we were concerned everything was perfect from the wonderful room with a generous balcony to the beautiful fabric artwork on the walls to the pool area sanctuary. Our highlights, though, were the staff -- so welcoming, helpful, and knowledgable -- and the restaurant where we ate every night because it felt like home. If it weren't a 20hour plane ride away, we'd visit more often.

Lovely Lao Hotel

Very pleasant, attentive stay. Everyone was extremely helpful and obliging. Dining room was good with excellent service, cuisine satisfactory. Mostly Lao food. Reception optimal in all ways. Would stay on here again

A serene setting and great location

Beautiful and serene hotel in a quiet setting but just a 10-minute walk to the main part of town. Gorgeous guest rooms well-kept by an excellent cleaning staff. Our room had a lovely balcony overlooking the garden. The hotel staff is very welcoming. Daily breakfast buffet by the pool was always a treat.This is our third stay at this hotel and we will be back!

We have stayed here for three visits to Luang Prabang and would never stay anywhere else! The hotel is serene, welcoming, with a wonderful staff and fragrant gardens. It is only a pleasant 10-minute walk to the heart of Luang Prabang (or you could ride by tuk-tuk, since one always seems to be available outside the hotel). Very comfortable room with a balcony overlooking the garden, lovely open-air dining and breakfast room by the pool.Everything on the property is kept spotless.

We liked the traditional, classy building, in the middle of lush vegetation and the attention of the staff. The rooms are a little to small, there are no electric socker in the bathroom and the breakfast is somewhat poor ( exception the last of 3 days,when there were more options) for the daily rate payed.
