Great service, poor hotel

I cannot in good conscience recommend this hotel to anyone. The service was wonderful, but the condition of this hotel is awful. We were on the second floor, and there was what felt like a hole in it, covered with carpet. We also had this in our room. Additionally, there was such a large gap between the door and the frame that we went out to Walmart to buy a door bar because the deadbolt was not connecting well.

There were numerous holes in the walls and a big sunken part of the floor on the second floor hallway. The carpet was wrinked and a trip hazard. I was charged for an unknown 10 dollar fee after i had left with no explaination or warning. This motel is a 70 dollar a night property at best and 1 paid 145 per night!

Hotel was clean for the most part, our tub was clogged and the water would not drain which was terrible and nasty, they didn’t have another room to move us and the front desk said they would contact maintenance but we never heard back. I was double charged for a room and advised at check that I would not sign bc the booking site was contacting the hotel directly. The rude man told me I needed to sign otherwise he would put as a mo show and the manager would tell me the same. I didn’t sign and spoke to a manager who advised that he misinformed me, and there was not a male manager as he referenced the night before. She apologized for everything and was her nice

I stayed for one night, the ac was quiet. However, there was one single sliding door for the bathroom and cupboard. So if someone was using the bathroom, the closet would be open, and if someone was using the closet, the bathroom would be open. It would be great if there were separate doors for the closet and bathroom. The old man at the front desk makes unnecessary comments on the way you look(he called me a little guy, because I was 5'6''), which is kinda weird and uncalled for.

When we walked in the air conditioning was off and it was 82° in the room. Then we tried to use the bathroom, they have one of those stupid new barn doors and it wouldn’t close so you had no privacy in the bathroom. Also, somebody thought it would be a good idea to have the toilet right next to the door so you were completely exposed to everybody else in the room. The beds were as hard as a rock and everything was really dirty especially the bathroom. The hall outside our room had not been vacuumed in a long time. We had three people staying in the room and they only gave us two towels.

This place has gone down hill! The room was so gross. There was a dried booger on one of the beds and the other bed had blood on the comforter. The hallways were dirty, un mopped and un vacuumed. Management or whoever seemed like they really could have cared less. The housekeeping needs to be put in check, you would think that with the lack of cleanliness that maybe they’re short handed but on the day of departure there was plenty of housekeeping. Definitely NOT worth the money!!

A nice hotel. Their cleaning staff does not have an eye for the obvious. The coffee make water reservoir was full of coffee grounds. It was awful and I had to clean it out myself. Soap and shampoo dispensers in the shower were empty, dirty under the sink. It was a nice room, but the cleaning staff needs more training, or more motivation. The staff upfront was friendly, polite, and very nice. I would stay there again. It’s a nice location if you have loved ones in Covenant or UMC hospitals. Lot of close eating choices. Which is the reason we stayed.
