Good location, friendly and helpful reception staff and free breakfast. However……..we specifically booked this hotel and this particular room as the (only) photo from the balcony showed it having a view of the mountains, river, bridge and old town. We wanted to sit out with a bottle of wine as we were celebrating a special occasion. We were however given a room on the side of the hotel (see photo) facing a tall stone wall and only a side view of the river overlooking a large public car park and apartment blocks. To make matters worse there were 5 workmen repairing the wall just a few meters away which meant we couldn’t sit out. We were so disappointed and spoilt our special day. The lady on reception said she’d had quite a few similar complaints about this room. I am now pleased the photos have been updated showing the front and side views to prevent anybody else being misled but no apology was received from management, in fact he tried to say the new photos had always been there. Disappointing.

A wonderful stay.

This was a wonderful stay. We enjoyed spending evenings on our balcony overlooking the River. The free breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Our bed was comfy and the shower was a good size and easy to figure out. This hotel is located at the far end of old town, but it was very walkable. We loved the mill bridge and the Mühlenplatz area.

The hotel was nice, very clean and updated, and in a fairly quiet location. The hotel was thoughtful in the planning of the room-- a fan was provided in addition to the built-in ceiling fan, extra and different weight blankets than what was already on the bed, black-out shutters, screened windows, and plenty of glasses. I would recommend this hotel.
