There were 3 of us, a couple and 1 friend and we stayed 5 nights at Siar in Borsh. The immediate area around the house is in a lovely rural location. There was an issue with the house we booked so we were offered another house next door. The house wasnât really ready for us - all the shutters were closed, there were no duvets or blanket on the beds. There was no information available. There was a leak under the sink and no internet - this had to be installed the following day after we arrived which took some hours in all. These were all things we had to inform the local host company by phone of and they were responsive. However we felt that they had not got the house ready for us / were unaware of the issues until we informed them. There was no outside furniture other than a couple of chairs so we used our camping chairs. You do need a car - especially at the beginning of the season as many places are closed. The nearest shop is a car drive away. However the road is terrible - loose stones & gravel - a track rather than a road. The area is also undergoing a big building boom so lots of big lorryâs carrying concrete, cranes etc , noisy & very dusty and making the roads even worse. The beach area is part of the building boom - glorious sea but a lot of unfinished building going on and many closed beach bars & shops. It would have been good to be informed about this as we would have gone somewhere else.
