Welcome to the North Hawksbill House, a three bedroom two story home located in the Historical Town of Luray. Designed with your comfort and entertainment in mind, North Hawksbill House offers 2,500 square feet of living space providing a host of exclusive amenities and accommodates groups of six.

The North Hawksbill offers an open layout concept on the first floor, a spacious kitchen and dining area adorning a custom brick floor, and featuring all new major appliances. Enjoy your morning coffee while seated at the beautiful cherry dining table as you look out the large picture window watching the local songbirds. To prepare a delicious meal we have provided a fully stocked kitchen with dishes, silverware, pots, pans, baking dishes, cooking utensils, blender, toaster, Keurig, and a drip coffee maker.

The Downstairs level has a laundry room with washer and dryer, kitchen and dining area, bathroom with shower/tub, family room, bedroom, sitting area, covered porch with swing, central heating and air conditioning.

Enjoy relaxing in the spacious family room offering hardwood floors, an electric fireplace, and a 65" flat screen TV. For your enjoyment we have also provided HDTV's, high speed internet, Netflix, DVD player, Wi-Fi, and a selection of movies and board games.

Upstairs guests can rest in either the King or Queen bedroom which offers a spacious area to relax and unwind in a private setting. Both bedrooms feature luxurious bedding, flat screen TV's and walk-in closets. The downstairs bedroom offers (2) twin beds with a flat screen TV.

A highlight of North Hawksbill house is the custom designed outdoor oasis, featuring a 6-person hot tub and lounging area including a fire pit, 6 chairs, gas grill, and privacy fence.

As a guest of the North Hawksbill House we provide the following: All bed linens, bathroom towels, hand towels, washcloths, make-up washcloths, hot tub towels, toilet paper, paper towels, dish detergent, hand soaps, hand sanitizer, coffee, creamer, sugar packets, shampoo, conditioner and bodywash. We also provide firewood and starters for the firepit.

Centrally located in the Town of Luray guests have easy access to the Shenandoah National Park, Luray Caverns, the Shenandoah River and several Wedding Venues. We are within walking distance from the brewery, movie theater, restaurants, seasonal live entertainment, and shopping. The property was perfectly suited for a family stay. The house was well-stocked with necessary amenities. The outdoor space accommodated evening activities, including s'mores and use of the hot tub. The location is highly convenient, situated minutes from Luray Caverns and downtown Luray, providing straightforward access to the local brewery and ice cream shops. I cannot imagine a better home of this size for the quality and location in Luray for a short vacation.

This house was not only beautifully decorated but all of furniture was extremely comfortable. The beds and linens were luxurious. Although we didn’t do a lot of cooking we noticed It had a well stocked kitchen. We also greatly enjoyed the outside area. The fire pit was nice on a cool spring night and sitting on the front porch rocker was very relaxing. It was close to the downtown area of Luray where we enjoyed several of the restaurants and shops. The owner was extremely responsive to all my questions. My family has rented several homes for getaways and I can honestly say this home is one of my favorites. We hope to return in the future

Absolutely one of the best properties we've ever stayed at. The listing is accurate - meaning what the host says you're going to find in the kitchen, with the linens, the coffee, sugar, soap - it's all actually there! The house was incredibly spacious, well appointed, and felt like a home away from home. Great clean hot tub, fantastic hardscaping for the fire pit area, and a wonderful picture window in the dining area to watch the local birds, squirrels and bunnies enjoy the feeder just outside. Easy check in, simple check out requests, and the location can't be beat. We want to come back for another long weekend in the future!

Chasidy was a great host! Wonderful suggestions, and communicative.When we arrived we immediately knew this home is well loved, And that shows with every detail. When we arrived it smelled good and the fireplace was going. The home is lovely! It’s simply decorated and so cozy! The cleanest VRBO we’ve ever experienced! The kitchen was well stocked! Everything you could need. We cooked a huge thanksgiving meal. The kitchen table was big enough to eat at one end and put a puzzle together at the other. The bird feeder was full and we enjoyed watching the birds while eating. The beds were so comfy! Like a warm hug! The linens were luxurious and lots of pillows. The generosity with towels and face cloths is so appreciative. We loved the hot tub. It was perfect. This whole experience was so nice.We would love to visit again.

We found this house on Vrbo. I thought it can’t be this great. When we arrived, we were in love with the place. It was so well laid out with references of the community, things to do. Location was perfect. I highly recommend this house.

Shenandoah NP with Kids and Grandparents

We had an absolutely terrific stay at Hawksbill. The owners clearly take a lot of pride in their home. Check-in was extremely easy, and the place was spotless upon arrival. There were some other extra touches that made this house special. The hot tub was already set to 101 degrees. The bird feeder was full, which allowed us to enjoy watching the blue jays, cardinals, and other birds through the large kitchen window. There was even a fresh bouquet of flowers on a table in the family room, where the timed fireplace was running to add to the ambience. The home had everything we needed in, and the sleeping arrangement worked great for us (parents and grandparents were upstairs in their own rooms with a shared hall bath while the 2 kids were downstairs on the twin beds.) The location is great for accessing Luray Caverns and Shenandoah National Park. I definitely recommend this home!

What a wonderful home for a relaxing girls weekend! Spacious and immaculately cleaned. The beds were super comfortable, looooved the fire pit, grill and hot tub. Felt safe and comfortable and relaxed and can’t wait to go back!!

Couples retreat to Shenandoah

We had a fantastic stay at the Hawksbill House. Chasidy was excellent at communicating details on the property and provided a number of recommendations for things to do and places to eat. This rental property is 15 minutes or less from pretty much everything! We spent time in the Luray Caverns, George Washington National Forest, Wisteria winery, The Speakeasy, and Shenandoah N.P. The house was clean and well-stocked, and the Walmart 3 minutes down the road helped us secure everything else we needed. A bonus treat was relaxing in the hot tub after a long day of hiking. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing get away or a home base for adventure in NW Virginia. 10/10

Beautiful and Clean

Absolutely beautiful home and so very cozy. Super super clean. My number one concern with Vrbos is cleanliness and this one exceeded my expectations. There is a high chair (wooden restaurant one), children’s dishes and pack n play provided which was very helpful for our 1.5 year old. Towels and bedding are very nice. The home was decorated for fall and they even had a vase of fresh cut flowers on the coffee table! Thank you for the lovely home to stay in for the weekend!

Home away from home

From the minute we pulled up we were impressed by the house! It was so cute. The outside area was perfect to relax with a drink and make s’mores. The house provided all the amenities and more! It was just a short walk to town where we grabbed coffee in the morning and ice cream and checked out the brewery at night. Close to the greenway too for an enjoyable walk! We used the house as a jumping off point for hiking while my parents stayed back and had plenty to do while we were gone! Can’t say enough good things about this house! Thanks again!

Wonderful stay

My friends and I had a fabulous stay here. The house was very clean and well stocked and in a fantastic location. The owner was super helpful and quick to respond. 10/10, would absolutely stay here again!

We were extremely pleased with our stay. The place was roomy and well appointed, extremely clean and had everything we could possibly need. The host was very helpful and got right back to us when we had a question. Highly Recommend if you’re going to be in Luray.

Family visit

Very lovely house with a wonderful porch and swing and 2 rocking chairs. It was perfect for our family of 6. Four adults and 2 children. The kitchen had everything we needed for meals, except a maybe a toaster. Would highly recommend for a place to rent as a base to enjoy the area around LuRay, Va.
