Superb holiday home sleeping up to14 in heart of the Hautes-Pyrenees
The property has stunning views of the mountains surrounding the town of Luz Saint Sauveur, sleeps an impressive 14 people and is only five minutes walk from Tour de France route and local bars and restaurants.
The house originally built in 1823 has been refurbished to modern standards (with under floor heating) yet still retains many traditional features including wood fires for those cooler evenings. It has been awarded 4 star status by the local authority.
The large kitchen opens out onto a paved courtyard with BBQ and a utility room has extra fridge and laundry facilities. The lounge has seating for at least 12 and has TV, DVD and CD players and games area. There is also a sofa bed which increases the property to 'sleeps 14'.
The first floor has 3 bedrooms and bathroom as well as an entrance area ideal for storage. There is also a 'cosy corner' with maps, reference books and computer (with internet access).
Stairs and landing lead to the 'Grenier' (attic) family room with 1 double and 4 single beds and en-suite. A small balcony offers views of surroundings.
Overview : La Petite Maison des Montagnes is a charming holiday home in the heart of the Hautes-Pyrenees department. Landscapes, legends and nature all combine to form this genuine mountain village in the beating heart of the Haute-Pyrenees. From here the mountains extend as far as the eye can see in all directions, with Luz situated at an altitude of 711m in one of the most beautiful valleys.
You can enjoy the unique historical nature of the village by visiting the church of Saint Andre, the Napleonic bridge, the castle of Santa Maria or the relaxing Luzea Spa. For a more gastronomic experience the best time to get to know Luz is Monday morning on market day.
