Cozy place to stay

Cozy place to stay, 25 mins walk to a city centre along river Elbe if you like or via streets. We arrived early, a reception lady tild us our toom was actually ready for us, we were very happy as we wanted go to a city. A lsy at receptionist was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. She recommended us a great place to have a local beer and food, hiddin from main streets and tourists. Check in was super fast. Our room in 2nd floor was very spacious, so was a bathroom with a bath tub. Our view was to a street shich was very quiet during a night.

It was lovely staying in this hotel infused with family pride. The breakfast was outstanding. Our old-fashioned room was clean, comfortable and charming. We parked for free and walked everywhere (but we are good walkers).

Nice villa-like hotel in lovely residential area. Good public transport, tram stop not far away. Very nice and helpfull staff. Quiet rooms. Though odd smell in the room, perhaps due to wall-to-wall carpeting.

A fantastic find and a 'must visit'!

I had read other people's reviews of Hotel Residenz Joop prior to booking and thought it would work well for my husband and I, and my brother, to stay for 3 nights following the European Choir Games in Magdeburg. Our expectations were exceeded and the whole ambience of this super hotel, alongside the first class hospitality proffered by the proprietors, Bernd and Ursula was outstanding. Cycle rides along the Elbe and great recommended restaurants in the evening added to the fun of our trip. Definitely one to put on your 'must visit' list!

Review of Hotel Residenz Joop

We loved this hotel. The owners and staff went over the top to make us AND our two poodles comfortable . We felt as if we were privileged guests in their home. The hotel was immaculately clean the breakfast was excellent. They recommended excellent restaurant choices for dinner where the poodles were welcome to sit on the patio. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Magdaburg. It is definitely first class. We are seasoned travelers and speak from years of experience.
