The towel rail did not work and was grubby. There was no bath mat and minimum towels for our needs. Toilet tissue ran out on our second Day. AM. The staff made up for it in spades very friendly and approachable

Good points are, the room was clean and the staff are great. It's on a service station so it's quite convenient too. Bad points are, it could really use an update. The carpet in the room was worn through in places, the window didn't seal properly so there was a cold draft most of the night (while it was -2° outside) and my bathroom smelt of urine even though it had been cleaned (even more so when i swithed the heated towel rail on) and the shower head had a lot of limescale on it. All in all you can see they really make an effort here even if the company won't spent money to fix the place up.

You get what you expect for the price you pay. Staff were friendly enough. Bed was comfortable. Room was generally clean, albeit very tired looking. Strong smell of cigarettes in the room was the main downer, although a reasonable effort was made to get rid of it. Lights worked. TV worked. Coffee, tea and biscuits available. No sockets by the bed - a sign of how old the hotel is.

Staff were very friendly, in the reception area it smelt very fresh and inviting but unfortunately, room number 8 stunk of ? Let's just say Asian food and garlic. I do understand people eat in their rooms But it could have been freshened up before the next people take on the room, especially if the reception area smells so good , and unfortunately , there was no shower gel or soap in the bathroom and I only realised this when I was under the shower so it would be nice if the people in Charge of The rooms could keep an eye on the show a dispenser As well.

Where do I start. Useful points mc Donald’s and Costa next door. Now hotel if that’s what you wish to class it as. Room dated Sheets clean Tv I don’t understand why the tv is on the desk you lay down you cannot see it. And not a smart tv. With the window closed and curtains closed you will have lorry’s coolers running all night the wonderful humming all night. Now for the best part the bathroom that’s not had any update since the building was built. The bathroom was dirty in general. Taps chrome has come off The basin waste is black with grime The toilet seat moves around from years or use. The bath has a disgusting mat in the bottom nice and hygienic at this point I decided I would not be using the bath just sleep and get out. At about 11pm the bath waste started overflowing raw S*** coming up from the plug. No I did not inform anyone the last thing I needed at that time of night is more fuss. Room21 for your records. I will never return and tbh I will never stay in another one of these squats. Best course of action would be knock the place down at what point do owners decide to refurb there buildings. Yes it’s not the most expensive but for what you get it’s still not worth that a night in the car park is all it should have cost. So when you read it comes with a bath I don’t agree it’s not usable. If this is your last option sleep in your car.
