Maison Tauzia offers a traditional escape in the heart of Gascony. This charming country home is perfectly placed between the market town of Condom and the historic bastide of Valence-sur-Baïse. Set in a garden dotted with fruit trees, it’s an inviting space for family gatherings, alfresco meals and leisurely dips in the pool.


Inside, the house unfolds across two floors, with two living areas, a well-equipped kitchen and four bedrooms sleeping up to eight guests. Whether reading by the fireplace or enjoying a family film night, this is a home built for relaxed holidays in France.


The garden itself is a highlight, with fruit trees (seasonal plums, apples, pears and walnuts) across the lawn. At its heart lies the large private pool, bordered by a sun terrace with loungers and long views stretching towards the distant Pyrénées. A covered dining space with a barbecue invites lingering evening meals on warm summer evenings.


Perfectly located almost equidistant between Auch and Agen, Maison Tauzia offers a superb setting for exploring Gascony. Valence-sur-Baïse is just five minutes away for morning croissants, while Condom’s vibrant markets, restaurants and boat hire are within a short drive. The surrounding Gers countryside is rich with historic villages, vineyards and walking routes, with frequent summer fêtes and night markets adding local colour.

On the edge of a small hamlet between Valence-sur-Baïse and Condom, this beautiful corner of the Gers countryside offers guests a wonderful stay in a region brimming with charm, history and natural beauty. Across local villages and market towns, the local Gascon character is ever-present, from the warmth of the people to the exceptional regional cuisine and wine.


Daily essentials are easily within reach. Valence-sur-Baïse, just over 3km away by car, provides a bakery, café-bar, restaurant and a supermarket, while riverside Condom (10km) offers a broader selection of shops, traditional markets and excellent dining options. Throughout spring and summer, the region comes alive with colourful fairs, antique markets and music-filled night markets (don’t miss those at Vic-Fezensac and Lavardens, both around 20 minutes away).


The surroundings offer endless opportunities to explore. The trio of Plus Beaux Villages, Fourcès, Montréal and Larressingle, all lie within a 15 to 25-minute drive and enchant with their cobbled streets, medieval architecture and village squares. History lovers can visit the Abbaye de Flaran (just outside Valence), or step further back in time at the impressive Roman villa of Seviac. For a day out, the cathedral at Auch (38km) boasts stunning stained-glass windows and intricately carved choir stalls, while Agen (50km) makes for another rewarding excursion.


Outdoor enthusiasts will delight in the many ways to discover the area. Glide peacefully along the River Baïse by canoe from Beaucaire or follow over 600km of marked walking and cycling trails through scenic countryside. Golfers will appreciate the nearby courses at Fleurance, Eauze and Auch.


The area’s gastronomic delights are another highlight. Local restaurants serve regional specialities such as foie gras and confit de canard, and wine tastings abound, especially at nearby Château Monluc (6km), renowned for its sparkling Pousse Rapière apéritif.
