The hotel bar and restaurant was disappointed experience. The workers need more training of hospitality. One evening my wife and seat down in the bar area about 4:45 pm to dinner which did not start until 5:00 pm. We asked for for dinner menu and one working stated food will not be available until 5:00pm which was okay with us but he had a very bad attitude and face mean expression on his face and he did even asked us if we wanted to order drinks instead until 5:00 pm. We had another waiter approached our table and we order our drinks from him. I observed two families entered in the bar area before we do and left about 20 minutes or so because one waiter had serve them in a decent time timeframe. I get it working during the holidays came be stressful but we the guests planned a special getaway and pay a lot money for good accommodations and services we deserve. Housekeeping services was very good but them also need to check the in room refrigerator and discard any leftover items before the arrival guests check into there room. Also wipe / clean the bathroom counter and mirror during the daily room services. I give excellent service rated to the bell services staff members. Very professional and polite personality and demonstrated great hospitality to all guests stay or stop into the lounge area. Beside the bar and resort restaurant disappointments I will still considere to stay there because its close to the ski lifts and Snowcat and the Snow mobile adventure tours.

Super nice staff, comfortable rooms. Everything was lovely. One serious suggestion (because I spent a day in the ER with altitude sickness) is to post the altitude of the hotel. I was naive about the physical challenges of thin air, at that altitude.

close to slopes..

Pros: Very close to the slopes ( walking distance ).
Cons: Room 822 @ the Yodler house has fixable issues..
Location: ertonsThe location is good is good for an individual that is not traversing to Canyon lodge. Did pay any attention to nearbly attractions...if there
This was my first visit and experience of Mammoth Inn on Tuesday, December, 15, 2015. I did not know the layout of the property so when I got there, I parked in the wrong lot. It was dark from traveling all day. Check in was easy but had my suspicions on their policys. We prepaid for the room and they still asked for the credit card. I showed them the bank draft instead. Room 822 @ the Yodler house had minor issues..

Not really worth the price

We were put in the Yodeler building which seemed a bit dated. The floors squeaked and the amenities were basic at best. If I were interested in biking or riding the lifts, it would have been great but I just needed a place near Yosemite park. I would have cancelled but their cancellation fee was too high. There were better rooms available a lot cheaper in the village.

Terrible disappointment

Pros: Location
Cons: A massive remodel is necessary to make this a quality hotel. Because of its location at the bottom of the ski lifts they are unlike to improve it.
The room was lower-level motel quality, the decor 1950s, the carpet worn, the tile in the bathroom so cracked we were afraid to walk on it. Noise from a pipe or something -- I mean a LOUD noise -- kept us awake all night. Mammoth has many very nice places, this is not one of them.

Great location at main ski area base.

The staff in this hotel was probably the nicest ,most helpful we have ever encountered. The food in the on site restaurant was also fantastic. The only issue was the chest of drawers in our room was older and the drawers didn't work well or got stuck in various phases of open. We were here to watcha ski race and the location was very convenient to ski and the bus/shuttle transport into the village was very smooth and useful.

Very nice, comfortable, and convenient.

Pros: Our room was very pleasant and comfortable. Some of the buildings look a little tired but our room was quite nice and modern.
Cons: Staff. Although friendly and professional, it was a skeleton crew. No room service despite the literature to the contrary.
While the staff was bare bones, the facility was very pleasant. I was hesitant due to mixed reviews but our stay was very pleasant. We stayed in The Yodler building and it was quiet, clean, and very comfortable. The easy access to shuttles and gondola, makes this location perfect. We were not charged parking but there was a "facility fee." I would, however, not recommend their restaurant. We only ordered dessert and asked for a recommendation. The apple pie/tart with vanilla ice cream was not worthwhile. Sadly, it was no better than a frozen pie from the grocery store. Otherwise, I would stay again.

perfect location for the park

Pros: Close restaurants
I've stayed here twice, once in the main building (where the lobby is) and once in a building to the far left of the main building (where the jacuzzi and pool is). Same hotel, but there is a big difference. The rooms in the main building are kept up much better than the outlying buildings and are also quieter. Aside from that, this is the perfect place to stay if you are making full use of the park, as it has easy access to trails and the gondola that takes you to the top of the mountain. The staff is courteous and the waitstaff at the hotel bar and restaurant are super friendly.
