Superb hotel in a great neiborhood. A huge mall is only minutes away by foot. It is very beautiful and calm. The staff is really helpful, I enjoyed my stay.
This place was okay at most. There was no receptionist and had to call for someone to show up at the front desk. The room which was an âupgradeâ had no A/C, no TV, and was in somewhat poor shape. I went by the reviews and itâs definitely not a âgoodâ. The location does seem safe and itâs not far from bus stops, food, and the shopping center. Itâs an okay place to stay for very short stays.
Our stay was short but exactly what we needed, our flight arrived late and clean Clint kindly picked us up from the air port, the rooms were perfect, small pool outside, and in a safe location.
Not AC in this hotel, staff not very professional.
The owners have converted their home into a guest house, very nicely decorated. The lady is very nice but the gentleman lacks professionalism and was very rude to us. They seem to resent Expedia's way of charging for the hotel; they shared the story of how they are going to go broke because of Expedia and they have an attitude that they are not getting paid fairly for your stay and have an attitude like they are doing you a favor. In essence it feels like you are unwelcome guests in someone's home. I wouldn't recommend this place, there is no front desk service and the toilet didn't flush in the middle of the night, so had to wait until next morning, they didn't clean the rooms daily, and breakfast was really bad. We found a real hotel that was a much better place with kind people and with AC rooms elsewhere. I was perfectly fine wasting one night already paid there, we couldn't stand another day.
This is a cute, family-run business with helpful staff willing to chat and shuttle you to the airport for a good rate. The neighborhood is quiet and safe.
One night layover to catch flight out of Managua. Hotel La Tora offered the perfect amount of serenity to close out a three country trek before flying back home. This isn't a party environment, so if that's what you want then look someplace else. If you want to feel welcomed by the owners while having your privacy respected then Hotel La Tora fits the bill. A peaceful respite in the middle of the city!
