Great Hotel Manchester

Lovely hotel, great location near oxford st. Bed really comfortable, shower powerful, great steam iron and full size ironing board. TV was bit dated couldnt cast to but still large flat screen. Breakfast lots of choice hot and cold...toasted bagels were lovely. Wifi fast and free

It was really convenient for food and shopping options within 15 min walk, parking is not easy but the train station its less than 5 min walk. The Hotel is clean, modern and spacious compared with other hotels in the area were our friends were staying, the staff is friendly and even that it is located in a busy area we couldn’t hear the city noise with the windows close. Highly recommend

Great hotel in central Manchester

Great rooms, poor service attitude

Arrived at approx just after 12pm due to our trip being intended to see a concert in the evening and we had traveled from far. We were somewhat ignored when we entered the reception area and not greeted. I asked if the room was ready early to which I was told there are no rooms ready it’s full. When I asked if they could phone me if my room was ready early I was abruptly told no that’s not an option, but we can leave our bags if we wish. I just felt the whole encounter felt uncomfortable and made us feel awkward. We then left our bags and returned at around 2:30pm where the staff member this time was much more inviting snd friendly. We checked in and paid a £1 city tax and went to our room. We had a triple room booked for x3 adults. Room nice and modern - x1 double bed and x1 single bed. However, the room was only really set up for 2 people and only two towels provided - we got back late so did not bother asking for another one. It’s a shame about the service as the rooms are modern and nice and very comfortable.

Room not cleaned by 5 pm Tv did not work Fire alarm went off at 12 am Breakfast poor quality .. sausages cheap , tasteless and pink in the middle . A lot of people left food , so it wasn’t just us Restaurant and bar dismal . They doubled the price as Oasis were in town - non refundable , but clearly did not take on extra staff to cope with a full hotel . Duty manager tried to help and mend tv but couldn’t . We were offered an upgrade to a better room , but we had unpacked and it was an hour before we were due to go out for the evening . Plus we ate two single ladies and wanted two beds as we had booked a triple . The upgrade was for one room with one bed . All in all very disappointing for £800 for two nights . Will never stay in a leonardo hotel again
