It was a good and affordable base for a weekend in Manchester, and the reception area was lovely. We had a triple room and it was quite dated, in particular the bathroom which had stains and marks all over the sink area and in the bath. I hope that the rooms will be updated in line with the public areas soon.

Upon arrival after hours of travelling I was told my room had been cancelled by a 3rd party (Hotels.com) I then had to quickly find another hotel and pay for transport to get there

Lovely modern hotel. Great location. Hotel was clean and the bedrooms were exceptional. Great size rooms. Breakfast was lovely, plenty to choose from.. fresh hot buffet and continental options. Hotel receptionists and duty manager was very accommodating and welcoming. Ncp parking two minutes walk away. Only stayed for one night but would definitely stay again.

It did the job and was quiet, but it needs an upda

The staff were very welcoming, shops were all within walking distance. But the hotel fabric was tired. We paid for an executive room which gave us earlier access which was great- and good space. But in many other hotels we’ve stayed this space was standard. However the bathroom had mould on the grouting which wasn’t nice, and the dressing table surface was damaged and caught at wool fabric.

Noisy neighbours blaring music at 4am. Damp smelling bathroom which was tired and needed work. Toiletries included but poor quality. Fine for one night if you don’t value your sleep.

Not as good as it used to be

Leaky toilet cistern is both my room and colleague's. Mine was fixed whilst I was out, but I've stayed at this hotel 6 or so times and there is always a maintenance issue. It's dated and needs upgrading. Not enough staff in reception or bar, lengthy queues and breakfast is chaos when a conference is on and most guests are leaving at the same time.

Bath could do with regrouping it had some mould, and there was quite a lot of noise in the night (an alarm was going off). Room was clean and comfy and staff very nice
