This listing consists of our 4 bedroom / 3.5 Bathroom historic home which was recently remodeled and outfitted with high end furnishings. The history of the home dates back to the late 1800s as the area's stagecoach and post office stop along Cherry Creek with a pond, irrigated pastures, pine-studded ridges, and mountain views. The home has been outfitted to be the ultimate vacation rental with King beds, pool table, hot tub, two living spaces, fully stocked kitchen and wrap around deck with comfy outdoor furniture
In addition, there is a 2 bedroom/1 bathroom single level cabin that was also recently remodeled and is just 50 yards from the main house offering additional bedrooms with privacy but easy proximity to the main house. Both homes feature high speed WIFI and Roku streaming TV.
Located on over 300 acres of lush Southwestern Colorado landscape, your possibilities for relaxation and adventure are unlimited. Spend your morning sipping on coffee at the breakfast bar, in front of the fireplace, or walking along the hiking/mountain biking trails laid out by Durango Trails, a local nonprofit trails organization. Winter activities include opportunities for snowshoeing, sledding, and cross-country skiing in the 38-acre meadow. There is also a 9 hole frisbee golf course.
Historic downtown Durango is only 20 minutes away while the smaller, but equally charming town of Mancos is just 13 minutes away.

Please note this is a working ranch and you may see ranch hands and other workers on the 300-acre property during your stay, but we will always do our best to allow for your privacy to the best of our abilities so you can fully enjoy your time here. We are continuing to make improvements with future plans in progress for the historic barn renovation to host events, additional construction of more cabins to host additional guests, and miles of hiking, biking, and cross-country trails.

This location was not just a house which provided us shelter, this location was a unique, extremely comfortable HOME. Ten of us celebrated Christmas here and we were so surprised to find a decorated tree and other festive decorations in the home. This home had everything we needed except for snow! Thank you for making our Christmas bright.

House was very welcoming and nice and clean, yet cozy! Really appreciated the outdoor firepit that was on the back, porch since our stay had mostly rain! A very special property, and no major complaints! Just a few things that would have made the stay nicer, like we had hoped to enjoy the pond on property (but was dry looking to be worked on), a heads up about there being workers on the property during the day (they were very friendly), no access to geo dome (one of the other features I was excited to experience time in), and just a suggestion to label the light switches (per my mother in law lol). We would absolutely stay here again, and would love to experience it in a warmer season because the gardens around the house look lovely! One on one communication with owner was really nice too. The big swing out front was loved by my niece and had a blast playing frisbee golf in the rainy mud :-)

If you’re going with adults only plan on a total of five not six usable bedrooms. The sixth is up at the third floor with a spiral staircase as access with no bathroom. For a kid only or a very active adult.Beautiful place with lots of acreage. Owner is a very nice young lady who made sure everything was good. Very much recommended.

Elegant & Elevated Wood Cabin Home
This gorgeous renovated cabin holds true to its rustic and rugged roots, yet provides all the luxuries needed with a fully remodeled interior. The perfect location for our family reunion! We enjoyed hours of conversations and laughter on the wrap around porch while enjoying the mounds of columbine flowers and mountains, hikes on the property, grilling every evening with the Traeger, shopping in Durango, cider tasting at the nearby Fenceline Cider Bar, fishing, rafting, riding the historic Silverton train, and so much more.
