This was such a cool stay. The resort is huge. We loved the golf course and the secret beach. People were great and the waiter at the restaurant surprised us with a anniversary dessert. That extra touch made it that much more enjoyable.

This place was AMAZING!!! It was just so beautiful. Everywhere you look, it was just gorgeous. The architecture, the landscape design, the interior design. Wow!!! The staff, the food, the amenities... all amazing. The breakfast was included and boy was it good. Such a great selection of Mexican and American food, fresh squeezed juices and fruit. It was from 7am to 12 pm, so there was no rush to get up early. We loved eating outside, but there was also an indoor dining area. The taxi acuatico from the hotel dock to Barra de Navidad ran 24/7, and was convenient and inexpensive. For a round trip ticket it cost 50 pesos (about 2.50 USD /person). Juan, the concierge and bell man, was outstanding. He caught an error in our room assignment and managed to have the error corrected. He had great ideas of things to do, like the secret beach and a tour to a ship wreck site, and also made a lot of the videos and of the property. He seemed to truly take pride in his job. All the staff were amazing, but Javier, who was a waiter at breakfast, was a true pleasure. We only spoke a little Spanish, and he was patient with us and spoke slowly so we could understand. We enjoyed talking with him and learning new terms. He was very professional, friendly, always with a smile on his face. It was a pleasure to see him every day. Everyone was very attentive, but there was no sense of pressure. It was like stepping back in time, where customer service really meant something.

We absolutely loved the resort mostly because of the staff. From the moment we arrived we were able to relax and enjoy. We would especially like to thank Gustavo at the pool for his amazing friendly service.The food was all excellent. We definitely will try to return in the future.

I really wish I could give this hotel five stars. I’ve been coming here for many years. It’s still a truly amazing place, but the hotel has some rough edges now. The staff is mostly friendly and helpful. I would not have said “mostly” a few years ago, but now customer service sometimes is not at the same high level that it used to be in the past. The architecture is phenomenal. Landscaping is absolutely beautiful (hat tip to the gardeners!). Breakfast buffet exceeds expectations. Do not miss that. Unfortunately, deferred maintenance detracts quite a bit from what used to be one of the coolest hotels on the planet. Still a great place to stay, but you will probably have to lower your expectation just a little bit to be happy. This is the wrong place to be if you expect things to be perfect. Really hoping that management catches up with the maintenance and returns this incredible hotel to the high quality establishment that it used to be not very long ago.

The hotel is magnificent. Fantastic location very quiet. huge beautiful property and hotel. I don’t think it’s been maintained as well in recent years. There’s a quick little panga to the main town which runs 24 hours a day and is about two dollars. Return.. nice little village called Colima nearby if you want to have drinks on the water at Mary’s or buy snacks.

We absolutely loved this hotel,yes it was dated, but it was so beautiful, the staff were all gracious and helpful, and so welcoming. We just booked breakfast, and oh what's choice, delicious fresh fruit and yogurt,also omelette,bacon sausage,eggs, cereal, honestly there was so many choices,and wonderful scenery. I would recommend to anyone looking for a safe quiet and relaxing holiday, .

We enjoyed our stay, but the rooms lacked wifi and even in the lobby it didn’t work sometimes. Prices for drinks were expensive. Breakfast buffet didn’t happen, although the a la carte was good.
