Charming villa with own pool in quiet cul-de-sac close to Puerto Banus #

The large mature gardens (900sq m) are private and enclosed, with sun all day and a shady patio area under the trees for outdoor meals. Well equipped built-in barbecue. There is a splendid upstairs terrace off the master bedroom with panoramic views over the pool, mountains and sunrise. The ground floor terrace is shaded by a leafy pergola. There is off road parking for 2 vehicles, and an electronic entrance gate. The pool is 8x4m. Perfect for families, golfers or those seeking a quiet retreat. The property is fully air conditioned and has wireless broadband for internet connection. The garden studio cottage sleeps 2 in twin beds, and en-suite bathroom.

The Villa was excellent value and the photos are accurate although the pool area is even better than it looks on the listing. The villa is well equipped with everything you need and the filtered water tap in the kitchen was great. The host provided inflatables for the pool which we all enjoyed. Location is good - lots of nice restaurants within 10 mins walk and Fat Mama Italian restaurant is 2 mins away and very nice. A good supermarket is 5 mins walk. The beach and harbour are about 20 mins walk away - we tended to walk there (mostly down hill) and taxi back which was only c6 Euro (more in uber but there are lots of local licensed taxis). There was a good tourist market 5 mins away on Saturday. A really enjoyable week and a special thank you to Susana who was very responsive both before and during the stay and also at check out - super friendly and helpful and also did a small shop (bread/milk/cheese/beer) for us before we arrived, which was great as we were all hungry at 10pm on the Sunday of arrival. Highly recommended for families and groups of friends - there were 8 of us and we had loads of space!

Great home for larger groups

Before check in the host (Susanna) already contacts you with details, which is great so you are prepared! Upon checking in the house was spotless. The house is much bigger than displayed on the photos and surprised us in a awesome way. The pool (salt) is 9x4 with many sunbeds, grill and seperate guesthouse with its own bedroom. There are 2 (!!) washingmachines and many amenities for the pool (inflatables) and umbrellas to take to the beach. The rooms are spacious and almost all have their own bathroom. All facilities are in the surrounding area (walkable). Supermarket is a 8 minute walk, beach is a 20 minute walk, where also is the Port of Puerto BanĂșs with many restaurants. Nearer to the house there are also many restaurants (Fat Mama Trattoria is very nice). We stayed with a family of 9 and had a great time in the house. Would recommend and book again!

Everything you need in one place!

We could not have asked for a better stay! Amaya was so helpful and friendly. The location is perfect, just a short walk up the hill from Puerto Banus marina and the beach. The pool is beautiful with plenty of Sunbeds, lots of space and children’s toys for families. A poolside BBQ and an oven inside for cooking. A tap with filtered drinking water, and all the appliances you need! Quite a few stairs and hills so maybe not for small children. Over all it was a perfect trip. Thank you so much!

Gran semana

Hemos estado una semana muy bien. Las zonas exteriores son excelentes, una piscina con un buen tamaño y gran barbacoa. Las habitaciones estån bien, pero los tamaños muy desiguales, se complica el reparto cuando van varios matrimonios, y la cocina es justa para una casa tan grande. Pero lo compensa todo cuando en pleno mes de agosto tan cerca de Puerto Banus, tienes esa tranquilidad, disfrutando de las zonas exteriores tan agradables.

Casa Salamandra July 2020

This is a great property for larger groups with plenty of space indoors and out to have fun as a group, and some great little hideaways to find some peace and quiet. The villa is well equipped and perhaps the biggest advantage is the number of bathrooms, which for our group was ideal. The property is very well managed, from booking all the way through to check out the communication and response was excellent. The property was very thoroughly cleaned prior to handover. Location is good in a quiet cul de sac but you can access all Puerto Banus has to offer within a 15-20 min walk. It comes highly recommended.

Meget bra eiendom. Bassenget oppfylte barnas behov og de koste seg mye i det. Huset med de romslige soverom og 5 bad fungerte helt utmerket til vÄrt reisefÞlge med 11 personer ( derav 4 barn) Huset var bra rengjort og alt fungerte som det skulle. Bassengpumpen rÞk og ble reparert samme dag. Stedet kan bare videre anbefales.

Most Excellent Extended Family Holiday!

MaryLou was our first impression of this holiday villa, as, even though we were not able to arrive until 1.00 am, she was waiting for us with a welcome smile (and welcome pack) to explain everything and hand over keys etcetera. This sums up the care and attention that has been given to this villa as a holiday home. Thank you, MaryLou. The villa is well proportioned, airy, clean and well kept. It is set in a quiet cul-de-sac within walkable distance of cafes, restaurants and food shops. Only Great- Grandma (G-G), 87 years but active, found the steepness of the hill out of the street too much of a challenge in the hottest part of the day in August. Not a problem to pop up in the Fiat. We were able to park a large people carrier and a small Fiat inside the gate. This was an excellent base for us all to split up or stay together to visit Gibraltar, Ronda, The Roman Oasis and local beaches and ports. The file in the villa is an excellent guide to suitable restaurants and venues. MaryLou popped in mid week and gave us excellent recommendations for specific things that we wanted to do. Every one of us found the bedrooms comfortable with enough choice for us to put the Aged Parents (APs) in the bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and a veranda; G-G in a twin room with Juliet balcony and adjoining bathroom; parents and two children in two bedrooms with a shared bathroom; and the young couple chose the cottage. The kitchen was stocked with all necessary equipment (we now intend to buy a coffee machine like this!) but we thoroughly enjoyed the BBQ area, the hammocks, the sunbeds, and the table tennis. The living room was full of comfy chairs, TV and dining area plus books, books, books - great for a little extra holiday reading. Most of all, we will remember the sunny afternoons in and around the pool where G-G could do the crossword while APs and Ps relaxed and youngsters dived, swam, jumped and lazed in the water. We don't usually return to the same place for our extended family holidays but Casa Salamandra is definitely the exception. We were asked to say how the villa could be improved and all we could think of was: stronger WiFi (not possible). And seriously, if that's all that's left for us to wish for in a holiday villa, then perhaps we should consider if we are really in holiday mode!

Dejlig rolig sted. Perfekte ude arealer.

Dejlig ferie bolig hvor det kan fungere selvom man er mange . Udlejers repesentant var meget behjÊlpelig hvis man havde sÊrlige Þnsker eller spÞrgsmÄl. Eneste minus var at der ikke var gjort rent i kÞkken skabe , og ej heller smidt gamle madvarer ud fra tideliger beboer , det var det samme pÄ badevÊrelserne , der var der ogsÄ gamle bade olier - sÊbe og kreme i skabene.
