I got in late and had to leave early so I didn't get to experience much, but what I did experience was nice. Classic historic hotel, with all the character you would expect. The breakfast staff was terrific.

I love this old hotel, but both times we've stayed there we have had noise issues. The first time ( a few years ago), a barking dog in another room kept us awake, and there was nothing the hotel could do about it. We thought no way that could happen twice. This time, motorcycles outside at 4am had us all awake, even with a sound machine on. I think the walls must be really thin, because we've stayed in many hotels and never had these noise problems. We love the hotel, it is beautiful, and the breakfast is great. I don't think we can stay there again after these noise issues happening twice.

Very convenient location downtown Marietta. Walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Older hotel with quaint rooms. Not your cookie cutter hotel that you can find anywhere! This hotel has character!

Very old, no microwave or fridge in room. No discount for breakfast on weekends. Very noisy in lobby till 02:45 am one night. Very noisy street. Staff rude at check in.

Great stay, as always. Building is showing its age, but staying here is so convenient, I'm okay overlooking the small things. What's great about a smaller place like this is if your plans change - its easier to add or subtract days from your stay without stupid charges. Staff was great, and when my credit card did not show me leaving a day early - one phone call and it was taken care of. I will continue to stay at the Lafayette - at least until I see a ghost - and yes - I look for them!

Great location right on the river and on the main shopping district in downtown Marietta. Very walkable. Friendly staff and nice room. Hadn't stayed there in 20 years but would definitely return
