The home and furniture and the reviews are what drew me to the home in the first place! The minute you arrive and open the private gate is just awe inspiring! The pictures although beautiful dont do this exquisite home justice. The views of Marigot Bay are stunning. The home is a Luxury Villa. It is laid out in such an immense way. The manager Pierre, the house lady Anselma were both so accommodating. Our stay in paradise was just heightened by the tranquility and beauty of the Villa Isis. We have already booked for a much longer stay next year. Thank you all for letting us stay in your beautiful home. Excellent place!
Very welcoming and friendly caretakers! Beautiful view, nice house. AC in bedrooms works great but be aware none in main areas likely room. Nice pool deck. Definitely need a car if staying there. Only complaint was low water pressure in showers but they are on a cistern and itâs an island so not completely unexpected. I would stay there again. As to description of the place there is a workout room despite no pictures of it in the listing but there is not a hot tub as listed but I think it meant there is jacuzzi tub in the master bath.
House was beautiful, clean and well maintained. Very well equipped from kitchen to bathrooms to bedrooms to beach towels and chairs. There were 7 of us and it never felt crowded. The host/managers were very accommodating and attentive to all questions or requests. Would recommend car rental based on location (which we knew when we rented). Great views! Much time spent cooking and also relaxing pool side! Loved it! Thanks for sharing this beautiful home!
Nice View, but Misleading Pool Photos and Difficult Access
The listing mentions a private and large pool, but in reality, the pool is quite smallâmore suitable for children than adults. The photos can be a bit misleading in that regard. Additionally, the road leading to the house is challenging and potentially dangerous, so it's important to be prepared for that if you're planning to visit. On the positive side, the balcony offers a beautiful view, which we really enjoyed. However, it's worth noting that entertainment options and restaurants in the area are quite limited.
Beautiful view of Marigot Bay, great central location
The Villa has a stunning view of Marigot Bay. It is located central West of the island & we got a car rental, which means driving North to Rodney Bay or South to Sugar Beach was good (still 1 hour each way due to windy roads). Here are tips & tricks for fellow travellers looking to book here. Make sure to state NAME OF VILLA when you arrive at customs. There is no street names, just signs to the various villas since Marigot Bay is small. Keep in mind you need data so you can google map how to drive to the villa if you get a car rental (unless you pre-booked a taxi through the VRBO host like we did - thank goodness we were jet lagged!) Pros:- beautiful view, great location- lots of rooms - each have their own bathroom- laundry room with washer/dryer included- pool! kids loved it- kitchen with lots of kitchen appliances - we bought groceries at Massy's & cooked a lot of our meals at the villa (just wish we had sharper knives)Cons:- lots of little things that needed maintenance. we stayed 2 weeks & know there were guests before us. so were surprised when lights were out, screen doors broken, door locks not working, etc. maintenance was easy to contact & came next day to repair but we still called them every couple days- no hot water for showers??? tried fixing but didn't happen- orientation not very thorough - had to find out ourselves how to switch propane tanks for the gas stovetopDespite above hiccups, we loved our stay here & recommend staying here!
This villa is amazing. The view is spectacular!! The place is huge. We had 9 people staying there and there was plenty of space. Eddie always answered any questions we had and the housekeeper was top notch the villa was very clean and organized. We had everything we needed for our stay. The neighborhood is quiet except for the occasional dog bark and faint sounds of the music from the restaurants or resort below us. Suggestions we have for the stay here is to rent a car if you are comfortable with narrow winding roads. Having a car allowed us to go to the convenient store that is about a mile away or the Massy grocery store that is a little further away about 3 miles that has a good selection of food. There are couple of restaurants at the bottom of the hill and a ferry that will take you to more restaurants and the public beach. There is a distillery a little over a mile away that has rum tasting and a store to purchase what you tasted. We took a land and sea tour at the beginning of our stay which gave us good feel of the island I highly suggest doing that. The tour has snorkeling, mud bath, a waterfall and lunch. I highly recommend staying at the Villa Isis for an awesome vacation.
We've been travelling the Caribbean for 20 years and rented many VRBO homes. This one was the ABSOLUTE WORST. No hot water for 4 days! The first few days we were nice, we know things happen. By the 3rd day we were done. My husband had to help the workers who were unable to perform basic maintenance. Coming home the 3rd night there was no power. We called the Property Manager and were told that power was out in the area. But street lights were on and the house next to us had power. The workers forgot to turn the main back on. When we finally did get hot water it didn't work in the master suite, only on the lower levels. There was also a constant beeping in the house which we fixed by unplugging devices until it stopped. We were told we purposely turned off the security cameras. My husband had to send pictures and videos to assist in fixing things. There were other problems too. My husband is a 30 year retired Air Force General. We could not be a more honest/understanding family. Also, our neighbors were robbed on the local beach at knifepoint. The villa is nice but if something breaks, yikes. Food for thought!
Villa Isis is gorgeous and the views from the house are beautiful. Three levels so plenty of privacy. Delightful plunge pool and gardens. Plenty of ocean breezes provided cooling air in the evening, night and morning. Just a short drive down to waterside beach, watersports and restaurants. You can also walk but coming up those hills will get your heart rate up. Staff were exceptional and friendly and the host was very responsive and helpful. I would definitely recommend you book your St. Lucia holiday here. Book your dives with Dive Fair Helen and sail with Bateau Mygo.
The house is as pictured, which is always nice to see. The owner and manager were always available, also a nice to experience! The view is unforgettable! Absolutely gorgeous. Itâs a short 5 minute drive down the road to the beach parking lot. The road to and from the location is challenging at best. This was the only thing to keep the ratings from being 5 star all the way. We cooked in the functional kitchen and everything we needed was there including plenty of place settings. We used the grill as well. It's a gas grill and there was a full tank. However, the grill performed badly and we had a problem getting the food cooked properly. It was a small inconvenience, but one worth mentioning. Perhaps a replacement is in order? The beds were comfortable and the airconditioning worked well. The pool was a welcome refreshing place to dip our toes. It isnt heated, but when it's hot, who cares? Simple to navigate stairs getting in. The pool does not have a shallow end. The property was well kept. The gym is a bare minimum affair and it was musty with some damage to a wall under repair. But, we weren't there for the gym. A car is absolutely necessary to get to and from this property. All in all, We would stay here again. Thank you to Anselma and Pierre for working closely with us during and before our stay!
We could not fault the facilities, location and comfort of this property. Communication with Pierre and Kieran was superb and any queries were always answered promptly.
Looking forward to visiting again !
Just came back from a nice stay at Villa Isis. Villa is beautiful, well stocked, lots of space for our group of 7 adults. We loved the view of Marigot Bay and that is was peaceful. To access villa, roads are steep so you definitely need a vehicle. There are many restaurants in Marigot Bay so you don't have to venture too far to have your meals if you are not cooking. There is a little ferry that brings you to the small beach of Marigot Bay. Nice beach and you can even get a coconut rum prepared right in front of you! I would recommend this place if you don't mind having to drive to visit other areas of the island.
The house was wonderful and spacious. However the roads leading up to the house were a disaster. Additionally the parking lot at the bottom of the hill, near the restaurants was not paved and had huge potholes. It is beyond me how the community which heavily relies on tourism chooses not to maintain the parking most people must use. Also the area leading to the boat dock was shabby looking with another unmaintained road. We did find nice snorkeling and a nice private boat that we used on two occasions to access nice snorkeling spots. Overall though given the lousy roads on much of the island, I will never go back to St Lucia.
Very nice accommodations! The pics donât show how grand this place is. Great beds and bedding, very clean, AC, they had filtered water for us, towels and everything you will need. Plenty of space inside and out, loved the views from the balconies! Thank you!!
Villa Isis is gorgeous with the best views on the island. Every room has a share of the view and the property has everything you need from kitchen equipment to pool towels, hair dryers , iron and a washer and dryer. We enjoyed our cocktails on the decks and cooked dinner in several nights. If you want to just escape and chill itâs perfect! There are some things that I wish we had known ahead however. The roads on the island are very narrow and since it was a British island driving is on the wrong side of the road for US drivers. Taxis are plentiful, but expensive. 10 miles doesnât take ten minutes, it takes an hour and costs $100 . Also, donât count on an ATM close by to get cash. The nearest one to the villa is in Castries which takes a $75 cab ride one way. The grocery store is also in Castries, so if you plan to cook at the villa make sure you get lots of provisions ahead or you will spend lots of time driving and paying taxi drivers! We did go down to the bay several times and had lovely drinks and dinner at Doolittleâs and Chateau Mygo. Prices ar good at both and they show them in EC and US dollars so you donât have to do the conversion. Beware however of the Hurricane Hole restaurant. We wandered in for lunch one day and since the prices listed were very high ($30 for a 3 shrimp appetizer) we assumed it was EC dollars and ordered accordingly. When the bill came ($700 for 5 people, two of whom did not have alcohol) we were told the menu prices were in US dollars. Needless to say, we wouldnât have ordered shrimp that were $10 each if we had known that ahead! We felt ripped off, which put a damper on our day. On the whole, we enjoyed our time on the island, the botanical gardens are well worth the trip and the snorkeling is fantastic! Villa Isis is wonderful and the communication with the property manager was very good. Just come prepared for the other factors I mentioned and you will have a great experience!
Beautiful villa overlooking Marigot Bay. On a hillside, as most of St. Lucia is, so rental car was a big plus. House is not far from the bay, where there are restaurants and water options. House was very clean, with lots of conveniences, quiet and private. highly recommend.
Had a wonderful family Vacation at Villa Isis. The views were spectacular and the property very well maintained. Absolutely beautiful! The owner and property manager of the Villa were very helpful and prompt in replying to our inquiries. We were delayed in leaving due to weather conditions and the property owner was very accommodating in letting us check out a few hours later than expected. The Villa is high on the hill so a car is recommended or having a taxi bring you up as it is a steep climb up. We absolutely loved our stay and hope to return again! Thank you for a wonderful stay!!
