it was the most awful place i have stayed in 66 years and i have travelled all rond europe 40 years ago. this had bed out of god knows where. the only clean thing was the sheets. this was in Malborough and cost ÂŁ100 with no breakfast. i went to coffi lab the only place open on easter monday the very worst thing was the person we paeyed was drunk or high and there was a gas boiler in our bed room. A big no no luckily the rotten window was wide open.
i am amaazed this place is on your site. I will not use it again
A very basic room. We stayed above the courtyard which was incredibly noisy and there was a band playing until 11.30pm, which we hadnât been pre-warned about. The advert on booking stated free breakfast but on arrival we were told this didnât apply to our booking???
The light in our room didnât work efficiently (kept blinking on and off) and the bathroom window was broken so couldnât be opened. On a plus - the landlady (who wasnât on the premises during our stay) was incredibly lovely when she phoned the next day.
The Lamb Inn sounds charming, but reality is a shock. You enter through a pub, with an iffy clientele staring at you. Our room was on a second floor, no elevator, just a very, very step stairway with spiders and webs.
Our room was small and the bathroom was a joke. Water was either ice cold or scalding hot and the controls didn't work. Toilet didn't flush properly and no service in terms of fresh towels or emptying wastebasket.
As pubs are now smoke-free, the entire center of the property, which you must pass through to access rooms, has overflowing ashtrays and smells of stale cigarettes all the time.
Only decent thing was breakfast, Very nice woman prepared and served and I'm guessing isn't there any longer.
Parking is a nightmare as it's close to downtown with time restrictions. Not even a loading zone so you could drop off bags.
Yes it sounds charming and old photos are misleading. Reality is borderline nightmare. Hotels.com ought to post a warning next to the listing.
Nobody turned up to cook the included breakfast in the morning so I had to leave without eating. Missing shower door. Dirty bath mat. Dry drink packages not refilled. Extremely difficult to park. Had to move car three times and then park on street far from hotel overnight.
Itâs just fine if you donât need WiFi or shower
The staff was very friendly but I have to admit the internet even at times when I could connect was so weak, I couldnât even access my emails. The shower has a power saver machine on it but the problem is the hot water cycles from cold to warm to scalding and around and around so you constantly have to dip under and out. I canât say the stay was worth the price.
Room was fine booked short notice but only 2 stars as no one turned up to cook breakfast so after waiting half an me and other guests let ourselves out and left hungry
Redeemed themselves by an excellent breakfast and pleasant atmosphere. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Best part! Previously unhappy about noise levels - live music till 11.15, other music till 11.30.
Points forts : Service et personnel, confort de la chambre
Old pub in a central area - in need of updating
Chaotic check-in as pub was preparing for 'cheap pie night' and bar area was occupied with many young children and their mothers. Room key could not be located for a while. Room was spacious but - like the pub - in need of updating.
Parking was only on-street and subject to the municipal restrictions. Pub location was good for other eating options but slightly noisy from traffic.
The bedroom was spotlessly clean as was the bathroom. Breakfast was outstanding, the lady who cooked and served it was lovely. Staff were pleasant & friendly too.
