To start, there is no parking anywhere near the apartment and no place to safely unload luggage. We had a Mercedes V class van and could not fit anywhere without hanging into the street. The trash dumpsters were right next to the door and overflowing by the entrance to the apartment. The rooms were not clean by any means and their was a terrible smell coming from the bathroom that went throughout the apartment. The neighborhood was not an area that felt safe to walk around in with kids and the only thing to do would have been walk to some sort of public transportation to go elsewhere for dinner or entertainment. We left within 30 minutes of arriving and didnât even unload our stuff. The pictures and description portray it as a quaint, well lit house with private terrace or patio but we found it to be an apartment with a communal open space that was not as shown in the pictures. We contacted the owners the next day and they dismissed all of our concerns and would not refund any of our payment. I would not recommend this for your stay in Marseille.
