BOATING:
We are asked a lot if we have a boat dock. We do not have a boat dock. The water in front of our property is very shallow at low tide. It can get to as low as 1 foot. If you do have a boat or want to rent one, be sure to follow the tide charts carefully and be sure you are ok with it resting on the ocean floor if left at low tide. If you are interested in a boat dock, there are properties in Leisure Lee and Treasure Cay that include boat docks.
CAR RENTALS & TAXIS:
You should also start thinking about your transportation, especially if renting a rental car. We recommend SG Car Rentals as they are right at the MHH airport whereas Barefoot car rentals will have to meet you at the airport and take you to their facility to get the car. Barefoot is a little cheaper because of that though. There are other rental car companies, but these are the two we've used and we can recommend.

If you don't plan on exploring, you can take a taxi from the airport to the property and they are readily available. If you take a taxi, be sure to get their number so you can call for a ride back.
HURRICANES:
The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30, with its peak from mid-August to mid-October. When booking our villa during this period, we strongly recommend purchasing travelers' insurance with trip cancellation coverage and keeping a close eye on weather updates.
An interesting fact: Some of the most stunning and tranquil ocean conditions in The Bahamas occur during the height of hurricane season.
PLEASE NOTE:
Aqua de Vista is exclusively a short-term vacation rental for up to 6 adults, offering stays from a minimum of 3 days to a maximum of 1 month. For stays exceeding two weeks, a mandatory biweekly cleaning service is required, with an additional fee for the cleaning.
