Grinnell Heritage Tiny House - On Organic Farm
Grinnell Tiny House is a peaceful space with some of the best views of the farm. Sip morning coffee on the deck while overlooking the majestic views of the prairie, chestnut trees and listening to the birds sing. Take a stroll through the seasonal organic vegetable garden and sit in the hammock under a shade tree. Just a stones throw away from Ahrens Park, Grinnell College and Downtown Grinnell makes it an ideal place for biking to and from events.
This tiny home was perfect and had everything and more for what I was looking for. Home clean, linen smelled so fresh when I got under the cover. Nice quiet area. Lovely park within walking distance unfortunately the weather was not great so I didnât get to enjoy. Great communication on checking in and finding tiny home. Would book again.
Nice property and the tiny house was great for a one person stay. Bathroom is good sized. I worked remote from the living area. The mini-split works very well and the sleeping loft stayed nice and cool even though the outside temp felt like 102 a couple of the days I was there. Was able to get in some mornings at the Ahrens park driving range as well as some morning walks in. Great experience at the tiny house on the prairie!
Very clean and welcoming. Set near a heritage farm on the northern outskirts of Grinnell. Futon bed on lower level, actual bed in loft space (watch your head!)
Steep stairs leading up to it.
Bathroom relatively roomy.
âCosyâ is a word that comes to mind. It was fun.
Second time visiting Grinnell for conference swim meet at Grinnell college. Staying here allows us to let our daughter to nap btwn sessions. The property is peaceful and full of chirping birds. Weâll definitely be backâŠhoping no one discovers this gem for the same days we need it!
The sunsets and sunrises are waiting at your doorstep in this location. That's the key benefit to staying here along with minimal to zero light pollution.
Really fun, cute, clean and well laid out tiny house set on a pastoral farm. We really enjoyed our stay here and the hosts were easy to contact. We were here for a sporting event at Grinelle College which was only about a mile away. Great park just down the street with a walking path. Would absolutely stay here again!
The tiny house is situated on a farm, just off a quiet road. I wanted a quiet solo getaway to work and read, and this was perfect. Check-in was super easy. I had a couple of questions about the wifi and the microwave when I arrived, and they quickly made sure everything was taken care of.
The tiny house had plenty of room. I appreciated the extra space heaters when temps plummeted to -10 for two nights. I put a fan in the loft to move the hot air around, and I stayed super toasty. I grabbed a mini humidifier at Walmart because it got so dry. I loved how quiet it was--I heard a distant train horn or two most nights, but I did not hear much traffic (compared to at home). I was able to focus and work, and Grinnell was the perfect location. I hope to be back in town and will stay there again.
