Maushop Property - First Time Available
The perfect Maushop property. Private beach, walk to the Popponesset Inn or the MarketPlace. Great for families. Freshly painted. Upgraded furniture (bunk beds on main floor for the kids and queen on second). Close the the world renowned Raw Bar.
First, the house has 1.5 baths, not 2. We realized from another review and asked prior to our stay, so we were aware and were offered early check in as a result. That did not happen and when we arrived blankets were missing and some towels still wet. Listing still shows 2 bathrooms. Communication was lacking with the owner/PM. When we asked about a few things including the Parking pass missing - initial / partial response and no follow up. The house is fine, primary bedroom bed literally squeaked, and room had minimal furniture so unpacking was not possible. Bath towels are threadbare and many stained, couches are dirty and smell mustyâŠjust not a comfortable space. That said, we really enjoyed the location and the community beach (an easy 5 minute walk) was truly lovely. We would return to this area, but not to this house.
Property is very quiet and only a few minutes walk to the beach! The pictures of the beach and stairs can be a bit misleading as these are for the entire property, not this house. The beach did look nice and had plenty of room for everyone staying here. Would definitely recommend for a couple or a family with kids. Plenty to do and lots of great restaurants within a half hour drive
The property was a perfect size for our family. Beautiful and clean. A nice spot in the off-season. We enjoyed walking to the Popponesset marketplace and along the beach. Would definitely return.
We had a great time at this little cottage! Itâs perfect for a few days or a week stay! The house was clean, perfect location for beach walks or shopping at the commons!
Thanks for a clean and comfy place. Beds and pillows were really soft, clean and had what we needed for a family stay. Even a beach cart which was handy to transport kids toys etc to the beach. Is a 3-4 minute walk to the closest beach which was private and that was nice. Host was quick to respond . Would recommend. Only thing was it doesnât have its own coffee or shampoo there but not a bud deal as we had ours along.
One of the cleanest places I have ever stayed in! Comfortable, charming and bright. Fully stocked, comfy beds, well kept, convenient location. Walk to the beach, Popponesset Inn and Popponesset marketplace. The marketplace has a convenience store, breakfast place, and a few small shops. The Popponesset Inn has a nice restaurant with ocean views. Ultimate relaxation! We enjoyed our walks through the woodsy walking path and on the beach. We will definitely come back!
Delightful week in Mashpee with unexpectedly nice weather for May. You are able to see the ocean from the dining area and private beach access is a short walk away (but does require a large flight of stairs down to water).
The place was fantastic
Very easy to check in
Everyone that lives in the area was helpful guarding you the way to the beautiful beach
The house is a one and half bath, but the half bath is great
Great place
It was fantastic. The beauty of poponesset canât be beat. Iâve been renting at Poponesset off and on since my parents introduced us to Poponesset many years ago. It was the nicest rental Iâve stayed at yet. Just wish the ground screw wasnât working with blowers and gas trimmers for 2 of the days but I understand they probably donât work on weekends. It was a fabulous stay and hated to leave.
This cottage was the perfect beach rental for a family of four. It was impeccably clean, with modern finishes and nice coastal decor. Great location within walking distance to private beach and a marketplace with shops and restaurants. This place is a hidden gem.
The cottage was perfect for me and my two adult daughters. It was exactly as it appears in the pictures and very well stocked. The only thing to note is that the downstairs bathroom is a powder room, not a full bath.
We loved the Maushop Village community and the proximity of this cottage to the beach! I would strongly recommend staying here if you're in the area!
