We booked a year in advance of our stay, but I called them a week before our arrival just to make sure everything about our reservation was OK. The very nice lady I spoke with then found out that our room was double-booked, and therefore we did not have a room. Over the year they had our reservation, they never let us know that we didn't actually have a room, nor did they refund our money. Whatever their system of managing reservations is, it isn't working. Fortunately however, the lady we spoke to was very nice and apologetic about what happened, and stated she would let us know if a room becomes available. A few days before our trip back to TX began, she contacted us to let us know a room opened up, and it was ours if we still wanted it. I do want to emphasize that although their reservation system is horrible, the lady who handled this situation couldn't have been more kind and helpful. The interior of our room was spotless, and looks to a fairly recent re-model. It all looks quite nice when you initially enter the room, but then you realize that there is no place to put your luggage other than the floor. No table, no desk, not even a folding luggage rack. The only horizontal surface in the room other than the floor is a chest of drawers the top of which is only large enough to put a purse and a few odds and ends such as your Ipad and phone.
