Very kind hosts with a beautiful property. Breakfast was excellent. No wifi and needed some extra cleanliness with the bed sheets. Otherwise, a lovely visit.
We have thought hard about this review because the people that run the hotel are very nice people who are very welcoming. Despite the language barrier Ginette was great and spoke better English than we did French. However, the issues were with the room itself. When we entered the room it actually looked great with the bedroom being separate and up one flight of stairs but there was a damp musty smell that we thought may have just been from being closed. Unfortunately, despite trying that smell never went away.
As a person that has stayed in hundreds of hotels for work I have never stayed in a hotel that simply doesn't service your room with new towels. We had to ask for clean towels then the next day they did come in removing one dirty set and simply picking up the other USED set and placing them on a towel rail. Next day we left the towels on the shower floor hoping to get clean ones, NO still sitting there dirty once we got back to hotel. Nobody was available to get clean ones. So I guess if you don't mind dirty musty smelling towels and room, it's ok. Such a shame as breakfast was ok. Lastly, the internet is non existent and the gym is always locked so don't try and get in. This property has potential but shouldn't be referred to as a hotel, as it simply isn't. Oh and despite what Expedia tells you, this "hotel" doesn't take credit cards, so being from out of the country we had to find a bank and get cash.
