Please note: No children or babies allowed.. Freedom Fields pods really are delightful and offer guests that little bit of luxury in the stunning Ayrshire countryside. These two pods are set apart from each other to offer guests both privacy and seclusion and are beautifully designed. The pods have large luxurious kingsize beds on the mezzanine level and an open plan living/dining/kitchen space on the ground floor with the added luxury of an electric wood burner, just perfect for that romantic get away. Outside the pods have their very own wood fired hot tub where you can sit and relax being disturbed by nothing but the gently crackling fire and the wildlife. With a barbecue and firepit you can spend a lazy evening marvelling at the starry dark skies. The views are spectacular at any time of year, the pods are peacefully located within walking distance of the pretty conservation village of Straiton with coffee shop, pub and village store, voted one of the ten âBest Villages in Scotlandâ, and featured in the book âThe Most Beautiful Villages of Scotlandâ.
Located on the edge of the Galloway Forest Park, Britainâs largest forest park with 300 square miles of wild beauty waiting to be explored, the park boasts tranquil valleys, rugged rock faces, forest, moorland, lochs and ancient woodland and a huge diversity of wildlife including red and roe deer, wild goats and many birds of prey. The park has also been awarded the status of one of only four Dark Sky Parks in the western world, and when the sun sets you will see why. The seaside towns of Ayr, Prestwick and Troon are all close by with beautiful sandy beaches and stunning views towards the Isle of Arran. Day trips can be taken to Arran and Cumbrae and are well worth the effort. Glasgow, Stirling and Edinburgh are perfect for a day out, as is Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. Ayrshire is home to the Ayrshire Coastal Path, a 100-mile long coastal walk with fantastic views over to the mountains of Arran. Inland there are gardens and castles to visit, as well as riding, horse racing at Ayr and a choice of golf courses, with the world famous Turnberry close to hand. Culzean Castle (owned by the National Trust for Scotland) is spectacular and is Ayrshireâs most popular tourist attraction, and Dumfries House is also worth a visit.
Bracken can be booked together with Heather (UK34841) and Bluebell (UK47240) to accommodate up to 6 guests.
A lovely stay in a tranquil pretty location. Property was very clean and the welcome basket & prepared hot tub were great on arrival.

We had a lovely break in this luxury pod.
We had a lovely break in this luxury pod. Warm and cosy with the welcoming hot tub and beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and Straiton monument on the hill. We received a lovely welcome gift or a few goodies and Elaine had spent all day getting the hot tub ready for our arrival. Heaven!! Easy 10 min walk into the village with a friendly community shop, well stocked and they were very welcoming. Hope to be back
