I was not having the best to ever, then I got to Kiowa. From the moment I booked. They were the first ever to give me a call to confirm reservations and ask when I would be arriving, to ensure my room would be ready. The whole experience was awesome. The people who run this hotel and work here truly brightened my whole trip up, even while it rained the whole time. I will be staying here everytime I'm in the area.
I received the WORST treatment from the manager named David. I reserved a room for 2 nights at the hotel through Expedia, to be paid later at the hotel. This is something he let me know was irritating to him by telling me not to do that. Unfortunately I had 2 deaths in the family and had to change my many travel plans as I was already traveling when I learned about the second funeral I would be attending within a week. I forgot to cancel my reservation in all the mess. I called the next day after I was charged for a room I never checked into. I would have thought it was fair for a fee but not to charge me for 2 days. I left several messages and they were not returned. I finally was able to speak to David, the manager, and he was so rude. He said I called days later. Not true, as I previously mentioned, I called the next day and no one got back to me. He disagreed with me but I told him I distinctly remember because it was my birthday. To which he replied "Well Happy Birthday, what do you want me to do about it?" #RUDE
He claims I booked through Expedia and I'd have to deal with them. That was also untrue. I never paid Expedia. It was the hotel that charged me and it's the hotel that needs to reverse the charges. Its fraud in my opinion. And I feel sorry for the staff that have to deal with his attitude on a daily basis.

Not bad
The hotel was ok. You could tell it had a few updates recently, but still needed more sprucing up. The carpets were old and a little dingy. The towels were thin/cheap and rough. The beds were clean, but only had a thin sheet between you and the (outdated) comforter. Also, the pillows were kinda flat.
It’s right next to the highway, so you can hear that if you don’t have a fan on. Water didn’t get very warm in the shower either. Breakfast was a small selection of cereals/oatmeal or bread/toast.
All in all, it was not bad, but could use some minor improvements.
I wasn't expecting much out of a small side of the highway motel. But, let me tell you, for the price, it was awesome! It was one of the nicest, cleanest, and most comfortable rooms I've ever stayed in! The owner, Jake, was so nice and accommodating! Ted me if I needed anything, let him know and he would take care of it. If I'm in or near Madill again, I will stay here every time! Keep up the nice job!
The hotel itself is decent. The bed is very firm. But my biggest complaint is the loud train that passes in the middle of the night and the highway noise.
Do yourself a favor and don't stay here. There are no non-smoking rooms. There were ants in the bathroom. I came back to get something from my room after I checked out, and the room service guy was making the bed with the same sheets I had slept in the night before. Ew. Drive on down the road.
It is what it is...a small town "no tell motel". Room was clean though, hardly anything work right. Beds were hard and had a backache in the morning. Would stay there again.
