On the positive side the immediate area is great with forest, wildlife, beaches and hiking trails.
The trouble started after we had moved our belongings in and the lock battery died locking us out. We had to relocate a few miles away for the night because the manager had no key to open the door and a locksmith was unavailable. We had to go shop for some items to get us by for the night and didn't have access to the cabin until later the next morning. Communication was spotty and we had to sacrifice some of our time for planned activities. The electrical system in the cabin is concerning. The stairway is challenging.
On balance, the family memories we were able to create were fantastic and outweighed the inconveniences.
5/5 recommend this place. It has a nice little old cabin feel, while still being modern. The hot tub was by far the best part. The trees give you some privacy. The drive to town is not that long and the walk to the lake is very short with a beautiful view when you get there. This is a lovely place.
