Perfectly situated within a few minutes' drive of both Arcata and Trinidad, this comfortable home in McKinleyville is a place to experience the beauties of the Northern California Coast.

In this quiet residential neighborhood, you'll be across the street from a horse pasture and a duck pond, within earshot of the ocean waves at night, and only about a mile from the Hammond Trail which offers wonderful hiking and biking through spruce forests and along the ocean bluffs that follow the Mad River. You can easily drive south the college town of Arcata with its great food, music, and art scene, or head north to hike and fish along the coast in Trinidad.

Inside, this single-level home is spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped. Enter into a light-filled living room with large windows, a flatscreen TV, and a desk workspace where you can log onto the free WiFi. A cozy dining area leads into the full kitchen, where you'll find stainless steel appliances (including a French-door refrigerator, a gas range, and a dishwasher), a breakfast bar, and access to the washer/dryer. Just beyond the sliding glass doors are a spacious deck with a gas grill, built-in bench seating warmed by a fire table, and an enclosed yard that's home to the private hot tub. Other options for at-home entertainment include a Ping-Pong table in the garage, a selection of board games, and a second flatscreen TV in the primary bedroom.

Dog-friendly for a nightly fee

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the nightly pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting "Yes" to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The nightly fee ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
