    Gold Hill Cottage

    Sweet older House/Cottage style with comfortable furniture and lots of space. Partially remodeled and very cozy.
    Great Separation of space with a very large living room and separate dining room. It is a lot larger than it looks. Comfortable Bedrooms. There is a cool backyard with a private patio. The porch is also quite fun for people to gather. We have four bedrooms (Queen Size Beds) and two Twin beds. The house has a fence around it and is save for kids.

    Good stay After Long Days of Exploring Oregon
    We stayed in this house to rest after long days of Hike, town is very cool, it looks like a historic town. The Rogue River is very close to house, we took a walk to some falls in the river.

    Quiet and Quaint
    We absolutely loved how quiet the little town of Gold Hill is. Peaceful night's sleep!! We loved how well the air conditioning kept the house cool, as outdoors was very hot that week. We arrived to unmade beds and the previous occupants dirty bed sheets on the floor, but the misunderstanding with the cleaning crew was rectified the next day. The host was great with communication and making sure things got sorted out properly!!! The jets on the jacuzzi tub did not work, so that item should probably be removed from the amenities page. Also, the toaster didn't work, so hopefully it has been replaced since our stay. After the cleaning crew came in to clean (we went out for an afternoon of antique shopping in nearby Medford!!), there was a huge improvement. The basics were cleaned. I do recommend a deeper clean occur... dusting lampshades and under furniture etc... there were a few cobwebs, but nothing too terrible. The cottage felt spacious and accommodated 2 adults and 3 teenagers quite well! We didn't feel cramped. The dining room table was more than adequate to fit us all and the kitchen table was perfect when just one or two of us had a snack or a cup of tea. The living room area was comfortable for playing board games and watching movies. A few of us even had an afternoon siesta on the couches. The bed I slept in was comfortable. The option of a functioning BBQ was also great for summer grilling!! After the initial bumps of our arrival, we ended up having a lovely time.

    The house did not appear as advertised. Overall cleanliness was lacking. Attention should be given to landscaping and walkways. Found ants in the house On the last night. Did not feel we received good value for our money.

    Felt very welcoming here. Great private neighborhood. Petra was fantastic & warming..allowed us to rent last minute & had rental cleaned and ready to go for us on very short notice

    nice home inside
    The home was nice inside. The property manager was responsive to comments and needs. The outside was a work in progress and the neighborhood was not top of the line but I didn't feel unsafe. I would stay here again as the price was a good value.
