The hotel property was nice and the staff were friendly. However the food is terrible, the bar fridge is empty, the toiletry is absent, the breakfast is poor and limited. Jin Bar has terrible food that is cooked in the hotel kitchen on level 2 and brought cold and chewy to ground floor.

I had a 2-night stay before going on to my next location. I chose this hotel near the Train station to facilitate my entry to Melbourne and my exit back to the airport. My task in Melbourne involved a return train-bus trip to Springvale. After storing my bags at the hotel, I obtained help from their wonderful front-desk staff with the routing of my trip. With that help, I successfully navigated my train-bus-bus-train round trip, and I returned with my task completed. The help I received expedited my task and freed me up to use the next day as a 'tourist' day. and I did a lot of walking, starting with a visit to the Queen Victoria Market nearby. The front-desk staff provided me a map and their card, in case I ran into trouble along the way. Their help was key to my success, so I did not waste any time along the way. On the bus, I got 'stop' help from an experienced rider, as that bus did not have good audio or any visual indicator of what stop was next. The rider notified the driver of my upcoming stop and pointed me out the door when the stop was made. With that, I was out the door and on my way. All of this was made possible by the hotel's front-desk staff, and I will always remember their kindness.

Green light

Our rooms with a terrace was great! Only complaint was the annoying green light above our bed-probably a smoke detector, that made it hard to sleep. Also the street noise from people yelling at 3am. No worries though. Hotel was great.

Dorsett hotel provides great service and is comfortable to stay. Upon check in, the front desk offer me the wines that I am entitled to. They also offer valet parking. Room is new and clean, curtains are fully blackout. Shower is both rain and handheld, water pressure is strong and warm. Provides coffee machine with coffee pods. Can boil water. Hotel is near walking distance to restaurants and shopping.
