Helen's Cottage, for a serene and peaceful getaway

Helen’s Cottage is nestled in a private, secure property and is surrounded by parkland. There is wheelchair access to the cottage via a ramp from the driveway and disability aids should they be required.
This two-bedroom cottage provides the perfect home away from home for your carefree Mornington Peninsula getaway. Ideally located on the Mornington Peninsula’s Westernport Bay area, opposite French Island, it is an hour from the CBD using Eastlink/Peninsula Link.
Close to swimming and surf beaches, local marinas, famous boutique wineries, award winning restaurants, farm-gate shops, antique stores, open-air markets, and so many more attractions that the region has to offer.
The cottage is a spacious, modern, fully self-contained accommodation with two good sized bedrooms containing luxurious queen size beds. The main living area has a TV and DVD together with a selection of DVD’s, books etc; for those just wanting to chill out. A beautiful leather lounge suite will add to the enjoyment and a very comfortable dining area for your breakfast, lunch or dinner.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need to cook your own meals should you prefer to have a night off from visiting the award-winning restaurants which are abundant in the area. There is gas ducted heating throughout as well as reversal cycle heating and cooling in the main living area.
The bathroom and toilet are disability friendly with walk in shower, and disability aids such as shower chair or toilet seat if required.
There are BBQ facilities available on the front deck overlooking the beautiful, peaceful gardens as well as a comfortable outdoor area to sit should you prefer to sit outside with your meal.

With the advent of the COVID-19 virus, we adhere to all cleaning and sanitation standards as set out by the Department of Health & Human Services ensuring your stay is as safe as possible. We offer contactless access to adhere to social - distancing guidelines should you prefer.
We, the owners also live in the property, but the configuration of the cottage ensures your privacy.

Gorgeous cottage!

We had a truly lovely stay at Helen's cottage. It's a peaceful and tranquil retreat, surrounded by beautiful greenery, trees, and birds. While we didn't spend a lot of time indoors, the cottage itself was very peaceful and restful. Mary Ann was a gracious and attentive host, ensuring our stay was both pleasant and memorable. Great getaway

We loved staying at Helens cottage. Mary Ann was a great host even providing disabled shower and toilet aids. The place is peaceful and secure. Good area for the dogs to walk around although I exercised them on extenda leads as the fence isn't secure for dogs. Great for Mum on a 4WW with entry ramp and all on one level. Would definetly stay there again.

Wonderful cottage in a picturesque setting

Highly recommend staying at Helen’s cottage, a wholesome stay away from home. We stayed there with two little ones who immediately took to its charm. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with thoughtfulness throughout the property: from a water fountain fit for royal guests to kitchen fully stacked with sweet goodies for children, fresh eggs, softest bread, beautiful lemons, honey with teas and coffee available for guests. It was very peaceful, no noise, no interruptions- just amazing! Additionally, we have to comment on cleanliness of the cottage, cosy decor, beautiful dining set inside and outside on the porch, and plentiful of room for little ones to play, watch Netflix, dance and go for a play outside. The yard is so immaculate and lovely, it will be your favourite thing!

Just a beautiful place to stay

When entering the property you look up and see the most stunning garden. Then opening the door to the house we both stopped and said how nice is this! We stayed for two nights but next time we would love to stay for a week. The house has everything you need for long or short stays. The houses decor was absolutely beautiful and spotlessly clean It was so pleasant to come back to the house after being out for the day. The owner was very nice and on hand if needed so that was a plus also. We just loved it and we will be back!!

The cottage is a beautifully renovated and tastefully furnished property sharing an expansive garden with the main house. The host is a lovely lady who has gone to great lengths to make her guests comfortable. We found the place spotlessly clean and were pleasantly surprised to find some fresh bread from the bakery, eggs, yoghurt, lemon cake etc for us on arrival. There were plenty of board games and puzzles to keep the kids busy, and for me most importantly, a coffee pod machine with a well-stocked holder holding plenty of pods including hot chocolate. Summerville is a 5 minutes drive from the house where a lovely shopping precinct is located. I highly recommend the Thai restaurant there. The only thing that could improve is cooling. As advertised, there is a split system A/C only in the living area and we found it inadequate to cool the bedrooms on a hot summer night, even with the bedroom doors open. A/Cs in the bedrooms would make this already great property perfect!
