The location is good with easy access to Flagstaff Gardens, Melbourne Central and Queen Victoria Market. The bed wasn't very comfortable and I felt the decor was dated. The grout in the bathroom was very dirty/mouldy which put me off. The check in process was straight forward and the staff were very nice.

I have stayed at Flagstaff a few times, and normally the service has been okay, but this time it was a bit disappointing. Also, the promised bar vouchers, as stated in my booking, were not given. The person in charge blamed Expedia for the "mistake" in offering the vouchers, which seems very strange to me

The property’s decor was very dated, there were stains on the carpet, there was mould on the bathroom shower tiles, my towel was dirty and there were stains on the bed sheets. I would highly not recommend this property. I made a joke with another guest saying this hotel makes the best western good and his remark was no it makes them look brilliant . So I guess this review is justified !! Way way over priced for sub standard rooms

The location is great - very close to the Queen Vic Market. Room was small but clean. It was quiet mostly - but could definitely hear clearly people coming in and out of their rooms. Shower was not good - the water pressure was on the weak side and it's slippery - made my aging mother concerned about safety. Breakfast was fine; restaurant staff were friendly.

At check in i asked the very helpful,friendly efficienct lady if a i could have a room next to my mate. No problem she also upgaded my room and early check in at no extra cost. With this service,location and a good price my son and i will be back when staying in Melbourne. Just a very simple greeting and giving a little extra help from the lovely lady is great customer service. A big Five Stars.
