Things to see and do in Mellerud and the surrounding area

Here you are close to Vänern's playa in Vita Sandar with a fine, shallow sandy beach that is suitable for families with children. There are also great fishing opportunities as Sweden's largest inland sea, Lake Vänern, contains 49 different fish species, everything from Whitefish, Pike to Perch. Only 17 km. to Örsjön, a nice bathing lake at the foot of the Kroppefjäll nature reserve which is also suitable if you like hiking. On the mountain there are endless walking paths in a unique landscape. Great opportunities to find berries, mushrooms and to see the king of the forest, the moose.
