Everything at the cottage was perfect and very welcoming. The host was most helpful. The interior was really lovey and particularly enjoyed and needed the log stove as the weather bitterly cold. Was so cosy inside. Loved the summer house too for a summer visit.

We cannot fault it! It felt like home away from home. Great communication, the kitchen has everything you need to cook any meal. The beds are comfortable and the heating system was great making our sleep great even though we had -1 degree at outside overnight. The cottage is a 3 minutes stroll from Melrose Square where you’ll find cafes, restaurants and shops and about 10 from Melrose Abbey. We’d definitely stay again and recommend to anyone staying in Melrose

Very pleased with the accommodation and the locality. Very well equipped.However the mirror light in ensuite shower room upstairs is iut so that room is very dark as inly one ceiling spot light. Also on 1st entering house to go into livingroom the door handle fell off no screw fell onto floor it just came away in hand or i would have tried to fix it .We had avery enjoyable stay would certainly come back anithervtime for more walking beautiful area.Kind regardsClare

A well equipped, clean and tidy cottage not far from Melrose Abbey and the shops and restaurants. Tea in the garden house was one of our highlights, and another one was the wood burning stove on chilly evenings. The kitchen has everything one needs for preparing a hearty breakfast or a perfect dinner. Contact with the owner was nice as always. A true "home from home"!

Lovely visit to the Borders

We wanted to stay in Melrose as it was perfectly placed to visit family living in the area . We were delighted to have chosen the cotttage as it was in a perfect location only a 2 min walk down to the Market Place and the shops Melrose Abbey ,pubs, coffee shops and restaurants. We had on street parking outside the door another plus! The cottage sleeps 4 but we were just a couple so had lots of room . The beds ( upstairs) were very comfortable and the upstairs shower room had plenty of water and a good shower. My husband is 6’4 and had to watch his head sometimes on the bedroom light shade and doorway but we are used to this in older characterful properties. Downstairs , after long busy days , we relaxed in the small cosy lounge and the kitchen was very well equipped, with everything we needed to prepare breakfasts and the occasional supper. We also like the addition of a small summer house and outside bistro table and chairs as the garden backed on to woodland and the sound of a stream. We even managed al fresco breakfast twice ! From the cottage door there are many brilliant walks including the Eildon Hills and along the River Tweed . A short drive and you can visit Kelso and Jedburgh both with wonderful abbey ruins and en route there are magnificent views of the surrounding countryside from Scots View,Excellent find and we would recommend

Please let the owner know that I think his smart TV is not working well. Totally unable to get iPlayer or Netflix to work. Would have given 5* for cleanliness but found clothes of a previous guest in a drawer in the upper bedroom when we arrived. However we like this cottage a lot and love the location, so these issues won't put us off considering a return

Great wee cottage

Great quiet location but only 5mins wk to the square, had everything we needed and more, very impressed overall. Loved the sit-out-aree, great addition to the property. Would definitely go back and would recommend.

The cottage was cosy and very comfortable for 2 couples. The location is excellent, very close to the town centre. We had some lovely walks and enjoyed a delicious Italian meal at the restaurant just round the corner. Would definitely stay again when we're back in Melrose.

Very well appointed cottage located in central Melrose and perfect for touring the Borders. The stairs to the upper bedroom might be difficult for guests with limited mobility.

Perfekt!

Das beste Cottage der gesamten Reise! GerĂ€umig, sehr sauber, ideal gelegen mit Blick auf die Abteiruine aus dem Schlafzimmerfenster, Abtei und Innenstadt fußlĂ€ufig zu erreichen, sehr freundlicher Vermieter - so soll es sein! Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!
