Favorite hotel in Memphis is no longer favorite
I travel a lot for business and have stayed here many times in the past. I am not a complainer. However, this was the worst stay in over 10 years of traveling! They are under construction and I mean UNDER CONSTRUCTION! No heads up notice of construction, until you have to walk through the only door in the front that isn't under plastic! We checked in and the front desk told us there is no water until 4pm. We were not offered anything...like bottle water to compensate for this! Walking to your room, you are walking THROUGH construction! ANd it is NOISY! Banging and other construction noises. In my room, with no water, in the afternoon, all you can hear is LOUD BANGING! My co-worker had another room and when he showered,(once the water was back on) the drain didn't work and it flooded his bathroom! It is nice that the bedroom and the living room are separate, however, the couch is like sitting on a board. This hotel used to be my favorite, but unfortunately, this may have me staying elsewhere, even when it is finished with its construction. Again, sorry to complain, but just wasn't happy with the stay.

This hotel is being remodeled, so loud that you can't have a converstation without raising your voice. pool closed. Very dirty/dusty due to the remodel. It will be lovely when completed but I should have been made aware of the process when I purchased the rooms. Staff was great.

The staff was wonderful. Construction was ongoing at the hotel, but the staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The breakfast buffet included an omelet bar with cooks making them to order with ingredients we choose. The experience was surprisingly pleasant.
