The Space:

Conveniently located just north of the historic village of Mendocino, this cozy oceanfront cottage is the perfect retreat for a romantic escapade with your significant other, a memorable adventure with a best friend, or a solo trip. Discover impressive attractions within a short drive, including hiking trails, Russian Gulch State Park, Mendocino Headlands State Park, Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens, Pomo Bluffs Park, The Skunk Train & Rail Bikes, Cotton Auditorium, Glass Beach, and Mackerricher State Park.



This cottage enjoys a sunny living area that is perfect for gatherings and relaxing while taking in the impressive ocean views in the distance. You will find a well-appointed kitchenette with a full-size fridge, microwave, stovetop, toaster, and a coffee maker - it has all the essentials to prepare delicious homemade meals for you and your guest. The cottage does provide free WiFi. Outside, the extensive deck provides you with a wonderful spot to enjoy the ocean breeze while dining alfresco.

The Perched on the Bluff-Casita shares its property with the main house, the two can be rented together as Perched on the Bluff-Main Home and Studio Cottage



All guests shall abide by the good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.

No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.

This property is located on an ocean bluff. Please use caution when near the bluff's edge.

This property does not support EV charging. Guests are kindly asked to use public EV chargers available in the area.

A great little cottage to get away from it all! My only complaint was the lack of screens on the windows. Would love to open them up to get a breeze without letting the bugs in!

Great 2 night stay at the cottage. It is small and cozy, perfect for 1 or 2 people. The view from the deck is amazing and although you are right next to a larger home this does not detract from the deck and view. The cottage was clean and had everything I needed. My only comment would be as the lone female occupant I would have liked an additional lock on the front door.I would recommend.

Obsessed with this little cottage. Everything you need for a quaint romantic getaway, with such beautiful views! Highly recommend waking up at dawn to watch how the marine layer changes, just so beautiful. Home was comfortable and clean and we loved the little gas stove too. Easy to communicate w management and convenient access to both Mendocino and Fort Bragg. Would absolutely stay here again!

Fantastic cottage right by the ocean! This is my second time staying and it was just as lovely as the first time. It's about 1 mile from the lighthouse, which is great to go see, and a short drive from mendocino. There's tons of good food nearby, and the cottage has a stove and refrigerator if you'd like to cook. The views from every room are absolutely gorgeous, and it's great for stargazing. You will not regret your stay here!

Gorgeous Get-away

This little house was absolutely lovely! The views are amazing - you are literally right on the cliffside and have a view of the ocean from the living room and the bedroom. It's got a decent kitchen, and a great bathtub. It's also only 2 miles from Pt Cabrillo lighthouse, so you can easily walk there. Great stargazing, too. One of the best places I've stayed!

Lovely littke spot

Very clean, cozy and welcoming. The property manager was prompt responding quickly to my text message. There isn't ac, so it could use a fan or screen on the windows to get some air flow through. No real complaints though!
