Pros - Nice private location, hot tub, lawn games, pool table, fenced in yard, fire pit, cozy layout and well stocked kitchen. Cons - unfortunately the oven was not working well and there was a strong gas smell. It could not be repaired while we were there which was a shame because we had planned to cool all our meals on site. Hopefully this potentially dangerous situation will be repaired before the next guest.
This cabin was absolutely perfect for our family getaway to Mentone. It felt more like a home than a cabin rental. The spacious open floor plan was exactly what Iâd hoped for to have lots of family time even while I was cooking. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, and a huge selection of spices and seasonings. The screened in porch was quite spacious and a perfect spot to relax in the hot tub or grill some good food. Mosquitoes are bad this time of year, so the screen allowed us to use the porch much more than we would otherwise.Delivery service - I wasnât sure if any delivery options would be available in Mentone, but ended up doing a few Walmart grocery deliveries. It was so convenient. We typically use VRBO a couple times a year and have for the past 15-20 years. This is my all time favorite cabin that weâve found and I look forward to returning when possible!
Met with adult children for the weekend. Very enjoyable weekend. Used the hot tub, played multiple games of pool, tried ping pong, but not a favorite as it required a little more exercise than we desired (chasing the ball) lol! Had a campfire a couple of nights. Very enjoyable! Fenced in yard was perfect for the dogs. Kitchen very well stocked with all the supplies you could need for cooking, which we did the whole time. No need to go anywhere. But if needed a dollar store is not far. So if you looking for a place for family, friends including fury. This is a great place for a weekend getaway or longer.
We wanted to take a short Spring Break trip and decided on Mentone. The cabin was nice and clean and well stocked. We felt right at home. The bad part was, most everything in Mentone is closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. I have always wanted to eat at the Wildflower Cafe, but it was closed. Luckily we found the Tigerâs Inn over in Valley Head. The lunch was amazing and you can tell itâs where the locals eat. We tried their fried deviled eggs and they are delicious! Fort Payne is also close by, too. A sunset at Brow Park is a must! Little River Canyon was beautiful! I will definitely be back to fit in more things. I highly recommend the cabin and the area. It was a nice recharge.
Beautiful, well equipped cabin, spacious for our 6 family members and 3 lb dog. Quiet, and great outdoor space with fire pit and horseshoes. Would def stay here again.
