The people who work at this Hotel take real pride in what they do servicing the guests, they will go out of their way to make you happy and cheerfully assist you in whatever request you have. I commend the great job from Cecilio, Braulio, Adalberto, Noe, The animation team: Edgar & Nicole, the DJ. On Saturday they brought a comedian and had a show in their auditorium and we had a great time enjoying. Will never forget the awesome treatment, interest and personalized attention to detail we enjoy from this hotel & their staff, will return again. Keep up the great job Reef Yucatan!

Staff were very kind and very hospitable.

Pros: The friendliness of the staff, and the willingness to assist.
Cons: They are currently adding and rennovating.
Staffs were very welcoming and always assisting. They were very kind and made my stay enjoyable.

Hotel beach pool and staff are to be commended

Pros: Beach, Pool and Staff
Cons: The rooms are sparse but they are renovating
Location: I never left the property
This is my third year to this hotel ad the staff is exemplary

Hotel is in need of up-date.

Pros: Beach, pool, area of the yucatan.
Cons: Most everything. Staff was very nice.
Food was cold and cheap. Old hotel in need of up date.

Nice hotel for a last minute booking

Pros: The staff was wonderful. Overly friendly and very helpful! The pool was very nice and relaxing. It was a beautiful atmosphere.
Cons: The food and alcohol were lower in quality. It worked for what we needed at the time though. The rooms were outdated and beds were very uncomfortable.
Location: The Reef is a little over an hour from both the airport in Merida and the port at Progresso.
My husband and I booked this hotel at the last minute. We were scheduled to take a cruise but missed the ship due to airline struggles. We left on a Monday and the ship was stopping in Progresso on Wednesday. On Monday we flew into Merida and then stayed at the Reef until Wednesday. We knew Carnvial books day excursions to the hotel, which is in part why we picked the Reef. The staff was incredibly helpful from the moment we arrived, which was a relief because it was the first thing to go right that day! The beach had a lot of shells so we spent most of our time at the pool. There is a small hotel gift shop that has a lot of basic necessities. This was really helpful as the airline also messed up and sent my bag to Rio instead of Merida. The gift shop had enough things to help me get by for a few days. It was a quiet atmosphere. At night there were not a lot of people. The only time it seemed full was during the day when the people from a Carnival ship were there.
