Adirondack Family Home - Private Beach

This lakefront retreat is located on the beautiful Upper Chateaugay Lake in Lyon Mountain, NY. The house has 3 bedrooms, two full baths and one 1/2 bath. One bedroom has a king-size bed, another has a double and the third bedroom has two single beds. The spacious kitchen is fully equipped for cooking meals, has a large dining area, as well as a large island, perfect for enjoying relaxing meals and quality time with friends and family. One central room has a cozy living room sofa, recliners, a fireplace, a TV and DVD player. The second central great room has a sofa, a window seat bed and a small loft perfect for a comfy night's sleep. Off of the kitchen is a large enclosed porch with a sitting area. (playing cards and games provided)
Outside there is an open sunny deck overlooking the lake with chairs. The deck opens to a grassy yard with a grilling area and fire pit perfect for barbecues and evening entertainment.
Below the grassy yard is a private sandy area perfect for swimming, launching canoes and kayaks. This area of the lake is the perfect spot for boating, swimming, fishing, and relaxing while enjoying the lovely views. The house is also equipped with a dishwasher, washer and dryer.
This vacation home is located approx. 1 hour from Lake Placid, NY, and approx. 1.5 hours from Montreal, Canada. The Malone Golf Course is 30 minutes away. The Friends of Lyon Mountain Mining and Railroad Museum is minutes away and houses artifacts, photos and other historic treasures from the local area.

Wonderful Experience
Great location on the Upper Chateaugay Lake with its own sandy beach. Great and very spacious accommodations. Hosts were excellent. Would definitely stay there again.

Breathtaking views!
That was a family vacation and i am not going to have enough words to describe how much we loved it! We have been to many rentals but this one is a gem ! Spacious, clean home with amazing history, beautiful beach with clear water( amazing for all ages), fireplace and gorgeous sunsets! House is spacious, with plenty of everything! Beds are exceptionally comfortable and all the beddings are news. Our host was very responsive and welcoming! I would recommend this rental for a family with kids or just a getaway with friends.

Lake Chateaugay
We had a lovely time at our favorite lake. The house was a time capsule from the 80s in a good way and it brought me back. Our hosts Laura and Brian were quick to assist with some basic stuff and were caring and helpful. Strongly recommend you consider this as vacation destination.
