The hotel is in a very good location and the staff is very friendly. The problem is that part of the place works as a hostel, and at night it gets very noisy. They also hold conferences with many people, which creates a lot of noise and makes it difficult to rest.

The hotel is in a great location—just a short, pleasant walk to the historic town center, which we really enjoyed. However, the breakfast area was a bit of a letdown. It’s set in an outdoor space that isn’t particularly inviting, and unfortunately, it was swarming with honey bees each morning, which made it hard to relax and enjoy our meal.

Staff not to helpful, we called to ask if they had coffee early morning since there wasn’t a coffee pot in room, they said no, found out next day coffee machine is in dining area all day long. Ac unit to noisy, dripping water, restroom sink leaking water as well, no shower door. Late night noise. Elevator not working at all times and only one elevator.

We didn't like the elevator. Outdated and always getting stuck. Only two people fit in elevator. Not much room for luggage. Shower only had a half of glass door and water would leak out making it a hazard when stepping out.

Hotel MX is in a great location at the heart of the center of CDMX with multiple stores, restaurants, and cafes within walking distance. If you’re looking for a safe, quiet location that’s close enough to the hot spots in CDMX this is a place I’d recommend staying at. It’s a 2 to 3 mile drive to places like Handshake Speakeasy, Taqueria Orinoco, etc. The hotel could do a bit better with cleanliness but it wasn’t terrible. And for the price it made our trip that much more enjoyable.

For the cost, this hotel is an excellent choice. It is in a good location to so much and Ubers are very inexpensive in CDMX. The morning breakfast was OK, but having on an open rooftop was very nice. I found the surrounding area to be quiet after 10pm and the walls in the room keeps most noise low. I bring a white noise device regardless and slept well. Housekeeping came everyday and kept the room in excellent condition. I stayed in the suite, which was the least expensive. The reception staff were very nice and helpful all six days we stayed. Two free small waters every day was a nice touch. I usually dont offer suggestions, since hotels don't seem to take them seriously. But some improvements would be more than two towels every day, the closet has very little light, so I had to use my phone light to see. It has a safe, which is good. There were only about 4 hangers, we needed about 15. The soap dispensers are attached to the wall, so trying to get soap for the shower or sink was difficult. I eventually just took them off the wall to get soap. I still would recommend this very nice and cozy hotel, and I would stay again.
