A tale of two rooms—excellent service saved our stay
We had a very mixed experience at this hotel, starting with a room that was quite disappointing. The initial space felt outdated, had visible mold, and was generally not up to cleanliness standards. Most frustratingly, both the shower and the toilet were non-functional, which made the first part of our stay very difficult.
However, the staff—specifically Nicole and Karen—completely turned the situation around. They were professional, empathetic, and worked hard to resolve our issues, acknowledging that the maintenance failures of the first room were unacceptable.
They moved us to a renovated room that, while slightly smaller, was a massive improvement. It was cozy, attractive, and spotlessly clean, with everything working perfectly. The contrast between the two rooms was night and day.
While the older sections of the hotel clearly need work, the dedication of the staff and the quality of the updated rooms made our stay enjoyable in the end. If you book here, definitely request one of the renovated rooms!
