Studio Living in the Arts District!
Stay in a beautifully restored studio in the Uptown Arts District of Michigan City. This studio, is less than a block to Franklin Street. Easily within walking distance of so many new restaurants, and coffee shops. This elevated studio used to be home to a storefront, and has amazing light. The furniture is all beautifully done, as you can see in the pictures. Spend the day at the beach, and then relax and unwind in the heart of the Uptown Arts District. Honestly, have the best of both worlds!Â
This was the 4th time we have stayed there. It has always been good.and uts very affordable.
This year it felt like the neighborhood has changed. By change i mean its a little "rougher
".
There's now a bus stoo in front. I was approached by a homeless man as i was entering the apartment. I realize that this could happen anywhere but it was unsettling.
The apartment and location are great. I would not steer anyone away from renting there.
I just think we may try somewhere else next year.
We never actually stayed here because we never received any communication after attempting to book. I called VRBO and got our booking fee back, which i appreciated, but this left us in a pinch, looking for a place to stay with few options, a day before our departure.
I guess I didnt pay enough attention to the lisitng, this was a shared studio with upstairs neighbors, which were not a problem at all. Window AC that was not on upon arrival, it was super hot when we got there.
The room was clean, there are stains on the main bedding, and there where black hairs stuck to the mirror. The host was good, and responded quickly.
We ended up leaving 1 night ealry . I should have just booked a hotel.
We had a great time and the place was well outfitted. It seems a bit absurd that the "cleaning" fee for something the same-ish size as a hotel room is MORE than the price to stay there. Cute spot though.
We had a great time the Studio was just as described. Loved the church bells every day. We went to the beach it was a beautiful day.
Only thing i could suggest is some hooks on doors so you could hang something's up. But other than that we had a wonderful time!!
Studio apt in central Laporte County had everything to offer (except somewhere to hang dresses). Clean space, good lighting, boho chic, quiet neighborhood!
My husband and I stayed for the weekend to celebrate our first anniversary and had a wonderful time! The location is close to several fun restaurants, and was a quick trip to the beach, the casino, and the outlet mall. The studio was just the right size for the two of us, was very clean and had all the essentials we needed, and had a super relaxed boho vibe. We had a small hiccup with the lock when we arrived, but Dustin responded and resolved the issue immediately. This is a great studio stay for a couple looking for an amazing getaway to Michigan City!
