I have good experiences at both Sonesta locations in the MIlwaukee area. Friendly and efficient staff, clean room, affordable, property is attractive. First choice for me when traveling to Milwaukee.

The staff was really rude the place wasn't clean and the breakfast was awful and just a basic breakfast. For over 100 bucks for the night I would recommend staying somewhere else. I also tried talking to the hotel through Expedia and they didn't care and offered nothing and said we will stick to are no refund policy and can't help you. That customer service shouldn't be accepted anywhere.

Looks to be going downhill

This was likely a pretty nice property at one point but it seems to be on the decline. Lots of little things that need repaired and are obviously being ignored, such as dirty/cloudy windows, very aged carpets, no lights in the pool, bathtubs that haven’t been scrubbed in years, etc. I also reserved a double queen and the beds were not queens but rather fulls (had a friend stay there as well and his were also full not queen). Guessing this was once a corporate-owned property but now appears to be owner-operated and the owners are going to drive it into the ground trying to cut costs wherever possible. I would not recommend.

I was quoted 385.00 and when my charge card was charged my payment was 520.00. If you want to check in early its an extra 50.00 even though your room is ready. Air conditioner leaked water all over carpet. Couch and automan in room had numerous tears in them. Not worth 520.00!!!

Check In was unpleasant

My 79 year old husband and I arrived in town in early afternoon. We asked the desk clerk to let us check in early to rest and change our clothes. It was 2 pm. He was clearly annoyed and said, "Check in is at 4!" I apologized and tried again at 3:30 as I saw others checking in. This time I was told that our room wasn't ready but if I wanted to pay an additional $25 he could get me a room. I respectfully declined the bribe. Again, he said "Check in is at 4. you can wait in the lobby." Meanwhile we watched as others went to their rooms. Finally, a nice young woman was at the desk and we were able to check in. We were treated like old incompetent intruders, and we resented that. Apparently, there were a number of workmen staying there. At 10 pm they were unloading their trucks outside our window (2nd floor) and throwing stuff into the oversized dumpster by our window. Very noisy as they were shouting to each other as they cleaned their trucks. It was unfortunate because the hotel was comfortable, but I would never return there again.

My husband and I found this place very pleasant for our two night stay. I'm a very picky clean freak and found this hotel good, even with all the crazy reviews, we didn't find it filthy at all like some are saying. We actually had to stay in two different rooms since I booked two separate reservations with last minute change of plans and they weren't the same type of room. So totally my fault but the staff was accommodating and nice and both the rooms served our purpose with clean towels, clean sheets, comfy beds, and nice hot running water. My husband found the breakfast to be good for your basic breakfast. We didn't use the pool to review on that. We will for sure stay here again.

Great value for good accommodations!

The room and facilities are well kept and pleasant. The front desk staff are friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. The price for the conditions and service is low compared to nearby hotels. The breakfast provided is limited.
