Weekend trip to Mall of America (MOA). Hotel has shuttle bus service to and from MOA and the airport (in each case you have to call front desk for pick-up and the wait was typically 10-15 mins). Hotel is about 10 mins from airport and about 5 mins from MOA. Had a great experience and the hotel staff was pleasant and accommodating. My room was somewhat outdated but they are currently in the process of renovating, which included the dining area, so there was no hot breakfast. However, hotel did provide guests with a bag breakfast of an apple, granola bars and a water. The pool was fantastic and my 9 yr old granddaughter loved it!! The pool alone was worth staying there!

Not enough staff. It took 3 hours to get extra sheets and blanket. Room was too small for six people even though thats what we booked. The pool was absolutely packed and inspite of signs there were very young chilsren in the hot tub with floats. Also no towels in the pool area.

My room had a sewage smell in the bathroom. The shower leaked water all over the bathroom floor. The hotel did not make it clear that there was an extra charge for parking (pretty rare in the suburbs of the Twin Cities). The staff didn't seem to care much about keeping the guests happy. One of them complained to me that he had to pay for parking too and he thought it was ridiculous. There are a lot hotels near the Mall of America. I had a better experience at Homewood Suites which is neighboring hotel.

First of all we spent an hour and a half trying to get their “24hr” shuttle to pick us up from the airport. The when we got picked up the shuttle driver was not nice at all. When we finally got there the actual check in was pleasant however the first room they gave us was not clean. Then the second room they moved us to was way worse- unclean and unfit for anyone. We had to cancel and find another place after midnight and by the time we got one had only 4 hrs to sleep before having to catch our replacement flight. They assured us we would get a refund and I will make sure of it.

No one was at the counter when we arrived. We could hear them talking and laughing in the back room so waited then said something to get their attention. We checked in online so thought the process would be quick and just have to pick up the room key. That wasn't the case. Went through the checkout process again at the counter. Not a huge deal, but it was a long day and thought we had that taken care of to get to our room quicker. The only thing I requested at check-in was a quiet room so we could get some good rest. That request was not fulfilled as we could hear TV and talking through the walls. The room was dirty, the hallways were dirty, the parking lot was dirty...it was just a dirty hotel. As I mentioned before, the parking lot was dirty. Trash, beer bottles, cigarettes were everywhere. There was also vomit in the parking lot when we left the last day. I know they probably didn't know about it yet, but I also don't think they would care to clean it up based on the rest of the place. We didn't use the pool, but we did specifically choose this hotel for the hot tub. It closes at 10 pm so didn't get to use it the first night. We did the second night, but only stayed a couple minutes. The jets didn't work in the hot tub so we're just sitting in hot water. There were also cops out in the area, not really surprising though.
